We spent 10 nights at the Sultan Gardens with our 3 children aged 6 and under and we all had a fabulous time. The accomodation was really spacious and was cleaned and tidied daily.
We ate most main meals at the Linah Restaurant and the Casa Mia which provided plenty of variety of food and managed to accommodate our vegetarian diet without a problem whilst the Beach Bars were perfectly adequate for a midday snack each lunchtime.
The staff across the resort were so friendly, helpful and courteous at all times that they made our stay even more relaxing and enjoyable.
My children tried out the climbing, mini golf and snorkeling and absolutely loved it. The kids pool area is great for little ones and the water slide was a firm favourite!
We will definitely be returning as soon as we can!

This holiday was amazing, the food was fantastic, there was alot of entertainment and was very hot at night (was July summer time).
When we booked the holiday and the hotel was 5*. I thought it wouldn’t be really good because the area is poor but was I wrong; yes, I was I’ve been to America twice and stayed in a 5* hotel there but Sultan Gardens was much better.
We are hoping to go to Sultan Gardens again because the staff are very helpful and kind.

My husband and I was surprised this was a 5 star med hotel as we previously stayed in med hotels. We were quite shocked at the standard as we were to believe this was 5 star, but later had been told by the staff that the hotel had recently been taken over and the name changed with new management.
There were quite allot of things that needed up dating and changing, such as matting round the pool ripped and quite dangerous, the food was more geared up for the Russians and there were quite a few.
We were able to separate ourselves from them most of the time as the complex is large, and they didn’t really bother us.
The staff were fantastic couldn’t do enough to help us loved them, the entertainment needs looking at as it is very poor.
There is a night club that is ok for a dance or two; they have a heated swimming pool with a water slide which is great fun.
The taxis which were from sultan gardens were good with seat belts and looked after you if you went into naama bay.
We have decided to give this hotel another go in October as the staff made it for us and the overall manager was very accommodating, we know he was going to make many changes so watch out we are coming back to see.

Stated for 2 weeks at this lovely hotel with my wife. The suites were comfortable and well lay out with great views over the sea.
There was some disruption whilst the new pool was being completed, but once this had been done then it made it even better. However the small pool across from the restaurant tended to be quieter ,with not many kids running around screaming and not many Russians either!
Downside is that there are lots and lots of Russians who absolutely think they own the restaurant at meal times - eating at least 3 times as much as anyone else!!!
Basel the General Manager is very helpful and most of the staff are too!
The Animation team leave a lot to the imagination but then again depends on what you want - tends to be much the same on most evenings - could do with a new injection into the team to come up with good ideas. And again the Russians tend to love being part of the entertainment.
Otherwise the whole holiday was fantastic and the weather was starting to get very hot - left and it was just about reaching 45 deg - very very hot!
So be prepared with the high sun protection for starters!

I went to Sharm in 2005, and loved it so much I had to come back. Stayed at the Sultan Gardens resort in 2006 with family.
The hotel is beautiful, its set right on sharks bay beach where diving and snorkelling is a must. Naama Bay and Old Sharm is just a short taxi ride away.
The hotel staff are very friendly and do all that they can to ensure your stay is enjoyable. Everybody here is just so lovely to talk to; even the people who work in the shops here are so friendly you could sit for hours talking away, which I did!!
The entertainment is magnificent...the best yet. There’s always something to do, have to say Dodo, Kunta, John John, Chiko, Mike, Ohano and of course Fabio! definitely made our holiday what it was! these guys are so sweet, they even organised a surprise birthday party for me while I was there, and let’s face it, it wouldn’t really happen here!
We went clubbing with these guys in Naama Bay and they really showed us a good time.
The Golden club disco in the hotel is great fun, its a good opportunity to meet other guests too and the music by chiko is great! The animation team are always there to keep things lively.
all in all its a great hotel and I would definitely go back here. the people are great, and we are still in contact, the location is great. Thoroughly recommended.

Fantastic holiday from start to finish. Flight times great - transfers great and a nice surprise at the hotel.
Room was great with a lovely view. Very comfortable with air conditioning which in January was only required once on the evening to heat up! Note: fridge, hairdryer, TV and phone but no kettle in room. Can't get up without caffeine so after 2 days had breakfast brought to room with caffeine. Well worth it.
We were all inclusive so didn't like having to pay for breakfast brought to room but as I say it was well worth it. The breakfast actually would have fed 6 people so only ordered coffee's every second day. Bill came to roughly £20 for the breakfasts at end of week.
During the day it was 25 degrees but around 6 o'clock the temperature dropped - so cardigans required for outside.
Only away for 1 week relaxing so didn't venture out many times. Did the aquarium trip, which I'd highly recommend and booked from the guys on the beach - a bit cheaper than booking from the hotel reception.
Went into Naama Bay one night which was a bit of a shock!! Really busy and loads of street hagglers. Be firm and they give you a bit of banter as you walk away!! The staff at hotel were first class.
Tip early on and they'll treat you like royalty throughout your stay. These guys don't earn enough - in fact it is very little and most of their money is sent home to family - so treat them right.
Guy at pool had our sun loungers positioned exactly where we wanted them every day - no matter what time we arrived at pool. He was a little gem.
Staff in restaurant were also first class and really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and special.
Definitely will go back and stay for 2 weeks the next time to have time to venture out and see more of the sights. If you want a totally relaxing atmosphere this is the place.
PS Night club in the dungeons which went on to the wee small hours.
There was a few special nights on which we did venture to - but it was traditional holiday centre entertainment on offer which you either like or don't.
Plenty going on at the pool during the day - if you're inclined you join in - water polo, darts tournament with a difference and general good fun - but if you only want to watch and soak up the sun you're left to it.
Great Holiday Great Hotel and Great People. Definitely will be back.

We could not say a bad word about the hotel. We were a bit worried when we got to the hotel as we had to leave our suitcases outside, with security for security reasons. But don’t worry about it gets dropped off straight away of at your apartment.
The apartments were fresh and clean, the air con was to good we even had to turn it down as it got to cold on a night the hotel staff would do any think to help you there so kind and caring and the daily aqua gym in the pool was good to get people up and moving . We booked a trip to go quading through the hotel was amazing a would advise any one to do it.
The pools in the hotel were clean and not to busy. 1 of the staff played a bit of Frisbee with my brother from the pool ledge was good they sit and talk to you and like to make you feel welcome.
Going into Naama was fab loads of shops for haggling haha the hotel has got taxis outside waiting to take you to where you want to go they name a price which is reasonable and they will take and pick you up from where they dropped you off you name the time and they will be there and you pay on the way back so they have got to be there to pick you up.
The jetty off the beach was brill hire a snorkel and mask and get yourself in it is amazing the water is so clear it’s unreal. A would advise any 1 going to Egypt to go to this hotel was the best place I have ever stayed I haven’t got 1 bad word to say about it.
I cannot praise this hotel...

I cannot praise this hotel enough - it is quite simply a great hotel to stay in.
My family were a little nervous about our holiday to Egypt after visiting the pyramids the year before we were put off by the constant harassment you got from the Egyptian people, however we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at Sharm El Sheikh. Yes, there were people who would do anything (and I mean anything) for you for a small tip, but they were no way as bad as those experienced in Cairo.
The Holiday Inn in Sharks Bay is set on the most beautiful stretch of sandy beach with magnificent views of the Red Sea and on to Tiran Island no matter where you looked. The hotel is HUGE and the free mini bus around the hotel was a welcome relief from the long walks in the Egyptian summer.
The pools were huge and well maintained. We visited in August (which I think is the Egyptian quiet season due to the heat) and the pools were never crowded, however there could have done to have been a few more sun loungers. A quick tip - the loungers near the smaller pools and on the beach had mattresses which were really comfy compared with those around the main two lagoon pools. At check in you were given one towel card per person and you could exchange it every day for a clean pool towel (bath towels were also provided in the rooms). This system seemed to work well.
We stayed on BB basis and the choice for breakfast was always vast. Although it was pretty much the same every day, there was so much to choose from, it was up to you to vary it! We only ate in the main buffet restaurant once. The food was nice, but found it a little expensive. However, after one meal in the Italian restaurant near the pool, we were hooked and ate our way through the delicious menu. Also, the Bookmaker sandwich at the snack bar makes for a nice mid-day snack.
The rooms were very nice - very large and extremely well maintained. The room boys must have spent at least 40 minutes in each room every day. We were on the last row of rooms which meant we had un-interrupted views of the Red Sea. If you can manage to rise early enough, the view of the sunrise is quite incredible. The air-conditioning in the rooms is fantastic - you have full control of it. On the first night the two of us woke up because we were too cold. I never thought I would say that in Egypt, but it made it easy to sleep. There is also a mini fridge and safe in each room provided free of charge.
The hotel has its own jetty which stretches across coral reefs until it deep enough to swim. Even if you can’t or won’t swim in the sea, you HAVE to spend some time on the jetty because the fish are amazing. If you can swim (and I recommend that if you’re coming here you learn if you can’t), grab a snorkel and dive in. We spent hours in the sea. It’s even better with scuba equipment on, so get yourself booked on a trip as soon as you arrive.
The hotel is a short taxi ride from the main resort in Naama Bay. There is practically nothing around the hotel, except for new building works. I would recommend that you use the taxi man who sits near the front doors at reception. He was always friendly, and the taxi driver would arrange a time to pick you up as well. We were quite impressed that you didn’t have to pay until you got back to the hotel - this way, you know that the taxi will pick you up. Some friends we met used the cheaper blue and white taxis outside the hotel and paid for a return journey as they got in, only the guy never returned. I would try and avoid those if possible.
Overall, the holiday was fantastic. We were dreading the constant heat in August, but it was definitely bearable due to the lack of any humidity! (just drink plenty). The hotel was very luxurious and away from the noise of Naama Bay. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel. Sharm is a fantastic holiday spot, still in the development stage. Visit soon before it becomes too commercialised. I know I will be!
We would like to state that...

We would like to state that during our stay, the staff were friendly efficient and courteous at all times. Facilities were excellent and the only complaint was the entertainment could have been more varied during the week, but there some good shows at times. Food was brilliant, catering staff excelled on many occasions and we told them so, some guests were greedy and overloaded plates, perhaps some eastern block countries were not so used to being free to have as much or as little as they wanted. The hotel rooms and site were cleaned regularly and to a high standard. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and its staff.
