Hotel from hell
I had a wierd housekeeper who kept moving the furniture around in my suite, and changing the batteries in my remote control in the bedroom so that I couldn't use the remote control. However as a tech expert, I fixed her applecart. 5 times I asked for the telephone in the bedroom to be replaced because it was broken......but to no avail. I picked up atheletes foot in the bathroom, because the air conditionning must be shut off when you are not in your room and it gets very hot, which is a breeding ground for bacteria. Terrible... more
Management response from AngelTelAviv_Israel

As a Managing Director of the hotel I am very sensitive to guests' comments and complaints. I'm afraid to say that this review is not an objective review written by the guest.. The guest is writing things that are incorrect. The guest moved the furniture in the suite without any reason and without asking for permission to do so. The housekeeper asked the guest not to move the furniture as it was damaging the carpet ...but the guest ignored the housekeeper request and kept on moving the furniture as if it was his own place and did not care about damages. The guest never spoke to the Managing Director in this regard. There are two sets of telephones in the suite and soon as the guest reported that one of them was not working, the telephone was replaced by a new telephone. As to the comments about the direction to Jaffa. Again, this is not fair to blame the staff for giving wrong information. Jaffa is 15 minutes walk from the hotel... As to the comment about the blisters from the bathroom. The suites are being checked, inspected and serviced daily and we use the best material and detergents for cleaning... we never had any single complaint about cleanliness of the hotel. The guest was seeking for a compensation of $ 200 through Best Western Customer Service and when he was given the answer that his claim was not justified, he decided to write this bad review blaming the Staff of the Best Western Regency Suites that are leaders in the hotel industry in Israel with words like weird Housekeeper or writing Hotel from Hell... I am proud of my team and especially the housekeeping department that are doing their best to keep the suites clean. At the Best Western Regency Suites, we hired staff who came on Aliyah from Russia. Many of them work at the Best Western Regency Suites for more than 10 years..These new immigrants are doing remarkably well in speaking Hebrew and English which is required for their job. At the Breakfast room we have Mrs. Valentina Yelissienko who speaks English and Hebrew... As mentioned above, the guest tried to blackmail the hotel and get $ 200 compensation and he already contacted Best Western Customer Service who investigated the incident... Now... when he failed to get a compensation, he found a way to call the hotel "From Hell ". People reading the comments made by other guests staying at the Best Western Regency Suites hotel in Tel Aviv can understand that the hotel is a great place to stay... We can assure our guests that we put a lot of efforts to make the Best Western Regency Suites hotel one of the leading hotels in Tel Aviv and I am proud of our achievements. Thank you for your attention and judgment as to the contents of the guest's poor review on our hotel. Israel Angel Managing Director

perfect holiday - hotel well located at tel aviv - perfect team (thank to Lea)
I was in vacation from 20/04/2008 to 05/05/2008 with my family (2 children of 4 and 6 years old). It was the first time I came in Israel and so at Tel Aviv. Thanks to the nice team of this hotel, I was at the 4th floor with sea view and a bathroom. I have a suite with 2 mains room. For the children, the TV was really important. There are modern and so very pleasant. The kitchen has a micro wave and a fridge. It was suffisant. The wifi was very useful for us also if you have a computer or a specific phone... There is a... more
A real GEM!!
We have stayed in this hotel 3 times in the past 18 months, and find it to be nothing short of FANTASTIC ! Across the street from a wonderful and trendy beach, immaculately clean and comfortable, 2-room suites with a kitchenette(and even2 TV sets!), most accomodating and friendly staff = and all for a much less money than other hotels on the Tel-Aviv beach which give you barely a HALF in value and services. Strongly reccommend - would stay there every time we visit Tel-Aviv !!! Sammy
modern and clean and good value
stayed there becuase had read good reviews about it on this website. overall pleased. room was very large (good size suite) and modern and clean. wireless internet was free which was nice. staff very friendly and helpful. good compared to some of the 4 star but partially worn hotels i had stayed in israel before. only negatives were no breakfast included and on check out date desk clerk was adamant about a 12 noon checkout and inflexible when i requested just one more hour. would have given the hotel a 4 if not for... more
Great hotel, great location
This was a great hotel to stay in to start our tour on Israel. The tour bus picked us up right out front. The room was great with a tiny but adequate kitchen. There was a refrigerator, sink, coffee pot and electric kettle. The room had a private bedroom with a comfortable bed. There was a living area in front with a pull out bed. Bathroom was small but clean, good shower, but no hair dryer. Overall a good value and very comfortable for 2-4 people.
excellent airport hotel option
We picked this hotel for an overnight stay prior to our outbound flight from Ben Gurion airport. There are no airport hotels in Israel so it was necessary to stay in Tel Aviv even though our flight was at 5 am. We arrived at the hotel at 10:30 PM and were only able to stay for 3 hours since we needed to be back at the airport at 2:30 AM. The front desk staff were extremely helpful, checked us in quickly, set up a wake up call and called for a 2 am taxi for us. The room was spacious (we had booked a minisuite since we were traveling... more
Good For Business Travel
I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights based on the recommendation of a colleague who has used this hotel before. Here are some of my observations: This is a small hotel, only 30 suites, so I barely saw another person during my entire stay. There never seemed to be anyone waiting at the front desk for service and I only saw one person ever using the free computer in the lobby lounge. Because of this, I felt that the front desk staff knew my name, personally greeted me when I returned for the day and asked me if I was going out long... more
Good Value and Location. Not a luxury hotel
Our stay in Tel Aviv with my sister enabled us to see 4 different suites. All have two small rooms. One is a bedroom with a radio, TV and bath. The other room is a small living room with a sofa bed, also with TV and bath. The rooms are very clean, apparently recently remodeled. All have one bath, some have 2 baths. All have a small or tiny, kithcenette with silverware, plates, bowls, microwave and toaster. 3 rooms had excellent air conditioning, 1 had adequate A/C. The housekeeping staff was very friendly. The front desk staff was usually... more
Pleasant stay at the hotel
From San Francisco I made reservations with Best Western Regency Suites at 80 Hayarkon. Not because I wanted a suite, but for location and price. I had a partial view of the sea from the bedroom, and a parking lot view from the living room. With the AARP membership paid $108 a night. Up to 4 people per rooms, one double bed in the bedroom, one pullout sofa in the living room. Children stay free with paying adults. Of course the choice was not the cheapest, but really good, and I’d stay there again! And can recommend this hotel. It... more
Excellent well-located suite hotel
Just got back from a short break in Tel Aviv, staying at the Best Western Regency Suites hotel. This is a small block of apartments, each with one bedroom, a lounge area with sofa bed, a bathroom and a kitchen area with microwave & fridge. The hotel was clean throughout, and the suites were cleaned daily with fresh towels and laundry. All members of staff were most friendly and helpful. There's no restaurant in the hotel (you can buy breakfast however), but there are so many places to eat close by that it's not a problem.<br... more
