Keep You're Fingers
from Wingers2001
On our 11-day April trip to Britain we stayed for two nights. The Hotel and our room could not have been cleaner and the staff was very friendly making for a great stay. The location was good as we did lots if sightseeing in downtown Lincoln. I have a beef about the parking. As we had to pay 4 pounds per day but I witnessed two people getting their parking tickets validated for just coming in for a drink. So it seems to me that you get penalised for staying there. Now to the Keep You’re Fingers Title. The bathroom door...

Strange Goings On
from ericBournemouth
My wife and I recently stayed here for 2 nights. It's a long time since we stayed at a Holiday Inn Express so I was eager to know if they had improved. The big problem for me in most chain hotels in the UK is bedroom door banging particularly at night of course. So many people of all ages it seems are incapable of closing a door quietly no matter what the hotels do to counteract the problem. I was very pleased to find that the "fire doors" now close electronically and only when required so a pus point there then. The bedroom doors I'll...

Beautiful modern budget hotel with some teething problems
from deathracer
I’m staying at the Holiday Inn Lincoln for one week on business. The hotel is located adjacent to some big box retail stores and a short walk from the center of town. There is outdoor parking at 4GBP / night This 6 floor hotel is only 3 months old and the design is very modern. The lobby area is very spacious and includes lounge, bar, breakfast area, internet kiosk and snack bar. There are 2 fast elevators. Check-in was fast, friendly and efficient. The room itself is compact and very well designed to...

It's not my 1st choice...
from Havanah
This is my second night in Lincoln and disappointing after my first night at B&B 'Number 24'. Ok it's a Holiday Inn Express - it is clean enough given it's newness but the B&B suited my needs a lot better. It is close to town, has parking, internet access (at an additional cost). I wouldn't stay here again purely because I prefer a greater deal of comfort, personalised service, amenities and space. I don't actually think this is a value for money option.
Nicest Holiday Inn Express to date
from Whizzer50
This hotel, only 2 months old is a credit to the brand. It is new but the rooms are modern, spacious, and spotlessly clean. The staff are very friendly, there is on site car parking, and you can easily walk into the city centre. I will put this as no 1 on my list if I have to stay in Lincoln again.
Couldn't do enough
from wissyemspem
As a regular visitor to this beautiful city I can't say enough how good this hotel is. Staff superb.....they can't do enough for you; nothing is too much trouble. Rooms clean and comfortable, facilities excellent. I had to leave at 6.00 in the morning. Early breakfast? No problem. They opened the breakfast bar early for me. And it's included in the price. And the price......£55 on a weekend. To sum up, a budget hotel that succeeds with its aspirations to be much more. Superb city centre location and excellent service. Can't ask...

Comfortable hotel but at a price !!!
from MarkW17
Nice New hotel, very comfortable although one or two teething problems but nothing that caused major issues. However the main gripe is that £85 per night is far too expensive for this budget style hotel, particuarly when the also, new and comfortable IBIS a couple of miles up the road is only approx £45. I would use the Holiday Inn Express again but not at a cost of £85 per night.
Great value for money
from cameronhotelman
This newly built hotel is located about 10 mins walk from Lincoln train station, and 20 mins walk (and climb!) from the main city center where the cathedral, castle and other attractions are located. The area is newly developed near the waterside and is filled with either building sites or large out-of-town retail centers. Despite the fairly bleak surroundings, the hotel is modern, clean and very functional. There is a large car park and a comfortable reception/lounge area. The staff are attentive and friendly, but could use a little more...

Loved this hotel
from sukhysall
I was recommended this hotel due to the fact that it was new and that it wasn't too expensive. I walked through the door to a warm friendly welcome by the Hotel Staff and my room was VERY nice. Very contemporary with an extremely comfortable bed and breakfast was very nice too. I was expecting a charge when due to work commitments I was recalled after having spent only one night but the hotel staff were fantastic. I only paid for the one night I had stayed and the facilities used. I was expecting to have to pay for the whole weeks stay...

Contemporary, Cool and Comfortable
from Lovemebed
We stayed in this hotel on Saturday 20 December (5 days after it opened). It has a comtemporary style with very friendly and helpful staff. We booked a twin room that was stylish and immaculate with VERY comfortable beds. The continental breakfast is self service. It included cereals, fresh fruit, toast, croissants, chocolat au pain (together with pre-packed spreads, cheeses and jams). Hot and cold drinks were dispensed from machines. Very 'functional' but sufficient with the option of returning for more We have stayed in...
