Myhotel Brighton

Just returned from a night at My Hotel with my partner as a birthday treat to her and it was all rather pleasant! Clean throughout, bright and above all, quiet. (on our 3rd floor room at the back of the hotel). Fantastic location to many yummy eateries and shopping in Laines. Most key features of brighton were walkable from there i.e. seafront, dome, pavillion. The room was really nice :) Unfortunately staff was not as good as one could expected (the receptionist was rather unpleasant). The hotel has not enough parking spaces, so we needed to park on farther located NCP Car Park, no information about that on their website. We waited at the breakfast bar for ages, as everything was running out. Then my coffee cup was dirty, with previous user lipstick imprint. Overall my feeling are mixed and I do not think I would recommend it ...

Classic design over function scenario. The blinds did not fit the windows which resulted in a stream of light in your face from the not very eco-friendly lights burning all night in the offices opposite. The bathroom is in the room and the toilet has a see through glass door affording no privacy what so ever. I doubt the designer actually slept in the room. When getting out of the bed I hope your tightrope walking skills are good as you squeeze yourself around the curved wall designed to fit a sink in where other hotels would have given you... more

We recently held a work do at zilli brasserie and then all stayed overnight in myhotel. All of the 25 team members without exception thought the hotel was great and the fact that we didn't have to leave the building to find a decent bar and restaurant was fantastic and made a real difference to our evening.

We stayed in 'More Superior' room which for 1 night was £250. Parking at the hotel was £25 extra and if we wanted a hot breakfast it was an extra £7.50 each. For that kind of money we were expecting luxury but what we got was essentially an Easy Hotel style room , that was ordinary and minamalistic. I booked the hotel for the night of my 60th birthday a couple of months before the event. We were offered a suite on the third floor, which exceeded all expectations - it was truly sumptuous and beautifully furnished with the most amazing textiles. I loved the fact that the ultramodern bath and separate shower were integral to the room, albeit could be closed off with a gossamer curtain. I went with a friend to Brighton last weekend for a girly weekend away, and we wanted to stay somewhere really central and contempory. I booked with the hotel directly after checking out quite a few websites. The girl on reception was really helpful. Although small, the hotel has lots of fun touches - the desk and lit star in the lobby, the corridoors and the room interiors. I work as a HR Director for an established London based Pubishing and Events company. We ran a 3 day event at the my hotel venue in Brighton during the month of September and we found the event to be one of the best venues we have ever used. The Sales & Marketing Manager Nic Nicolaou consistently went the "extra mile" to ensure our 3 events ran without any problems and ensured that the venue met all our requirements. What an amazing Hotel!!!! Just Opened in Brighton... knocks spots of The Seattle and every other Hotel in Brighton. A quality Hotel with fantastic modern art deco design. All the walls are curved in the Hotel giving it a true contemporary style. The colours are bright and funky each floor having a different colour wave. We stayed in a superior double with floor to ceiling window and window seat overloooking JUbilee Street which is right in the middle of the famous Lanes of Brighton. Brilliant staff! They were fantastic, we stayed this bank holiday weekend and they were helpful, friendly and attentive. Our room was spotless, (the ipod connection was great), for a standard double, the room was big and the shower massive compared to other hotels. Breakfast was fine and non eventful, very impressed. On checkout the staff apologised for the queue (i waited five mins so no time at all really) and they offered to keep our bags whilst we went out for the day. Unpretentious, relaxed, clean and great design. Can't recommend it... more
