Holiday Inn Norwich City

Stayed here on a Saturday night. Paid £68 and was given a pitch view at no extra cost. Rooms are huge and well fitted out. Stay here whilst its still brand new - fantastic value

The hotel hadn't been open long when I stayed for an overnight birthday treat in June so everything was very modern and fresh. We booked online with the hotel direct and got a rate of just under £90 for a standard room including breakfast. Check in was smooth and staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a huge car park out the back which is shared with Norwich City Fottball Ground but there is a separate area for hotel guests close to the hotel. This new hotel stands up to all the previous reviews, but.... let down by the pre-booked mini cab service CAPITAL CARS which the hotel uses. They will charge you £4.50 to the Railway Station which is no more than 5/7 minutes walk. My partner is part disabled and could not walk to the station. From the railway station the usual black taxi cabs charge between £2.50 and £3.50 depending upon traffic.(it cost us £3.20 on the meter) when we arrived at the hotel. stayed for one night over the weekend. Highly recommend this brand new holiday inn. Modern rooms,within walking distance from town. I Pod docking , white sheets and fluffy towels. We paid £81 but this didn't include breakfast. would def recommend

Stayed one night over weekend especially so we could have meal at Delias (Smith) restaurant in Norwich City Football Club Saturday night. Obviously spotless being so new, tasteful modern room and bathroom. King size comfy bed, desk, internet, flat screen tv, even nice biccies on tea tray! Room 103 faced football pitch but was nice and light - recommend if you want to see game. Breakfast was excellent - hot and cold - staff all pleasant. Recommend.

Stayed one night over a weekend, hotel was clean and tidy, staff were very helpful.

This hotel had opened the Tuesday before our arrival on the Friday. Everything was very new, with simple, stylish, modern décor. We shared a two double bed room with our two daughters. The hotel could was really child friendly: they gave the girls welcome packs, which included their own disposable cameras on the first day and their own dolls on the second! Our room had a perfect view of the Norwich City pitch! There were a few teething problems - the muzak in the corridor was not switched off until we called reception... more

Stayed in Norwich on business in June 2007, hotel had only been open 8 days. Welcome from front desk staff was fair to excellent dependent on the staff member. I was given a room on the third floor which had a great view of the Norwich City FC turf and main stand. However not being a footie fan myself I asked for a different room; as I found it rather dark with the Football stands obscuring a good deal of light. Fortunately no football going on as I can imagine that would be very noisy during/after the match; also access to the hotel... more
