Family with children You cannot go wrong with this one.
We just completed our trip to Spain yesterday. We really enjoyed our 3 days in Granada and Suite 44. The room was spacious. The staff were super nice. I could really feel 'the southern hospitality" of the people from Granada, unlike the cold and rude Madrileños. My family enjoyed the Japanese style bidet. The only caveat is you are 8-10 minutes walk from the center of action ( Plaza Nueva, Plaza Carmen, night life alone the Ave. Reyes Catolicos and Meson street, etc ). The hotel price was much more economical than the hotels we stayed in... more
Style over substance and not enough hot water!
We stayed at the Gran Via 44 for 3 nights at the end of October, along with a group of friends, for a family birthday. Although very stylish, the suite seems designed by someone who has never actually stayed in a hotel! There are no pans or a kettle in the kitchen so we had to heat water for tea and coffee in the microwave, the only mirrors are in the bathroom so I had to wait for my husband to finish in the shower before I could put my make up on and the room is right on the street so very noisy. However, the worst thing was that... more
Management response from NachoGranada

First of all thank you for your review and apologize for the inconvenience. The hotel has just been opened and we appreciate the criticism to improve every day I comment on some aspects for future customers: The hot water problem is now Fixed. It is normal for a new establishment there are problems that arise after opening. The water tanks have been changed and this is no longer a problem. With respect to the mirrors, extra mirrors have been placed on the doors of the closets of the rooms. With regard to the noise I'm surprised and I understand that this complaint is due more to his annoyance than a problem of noise. Ceilings and walls are soundproof with plasterboard. Windows are double glazed and double overlap. No customer has complained of being unable to sleep due to noise. Sorry again not to have known your complaints at the time of occurrence to avoid if possible your anger and negative comments. Ignacio

Great Price, Great Location, Ideal for a Group
Our group consisted of 5 girls all in their mid-20's, and we loved our stay at this aparthotel. I'll write my review based on the factors that were most important to us; -Location: the place is very centrally located on Gran Via, one of the main roads running through the city. We reached it easily from the airport using the airport bus (€3) which stops on Gran Via about 2 minutes from the hotel. During our 4 night stay we walked everywhere, didn't use a taxi once. We trekked all the way up along the river to Sacramento, wandered down... more
Great location and ideal for family
First of all, the weather was fantastic and Granada looked great. The appartment was very smart, very clean and it worked well for the family. The kitchen could have benefited from a few more utensils (e.g. that all important cork screw) and - ok I may be being fussy - but a small dishwashing machine would have been wonderful (for all the crockery from feeding the kids). But overall very good.
Chic and confy
Location: The hotel is located about 600m from the historic center of Granada on a busy avenue. Cleanliness: Spotless. Room: It is a real apartment, very spacious and tastefully decorated. Everything looking brand new. There is a living room with a sofa-bed, a big TV, a dinner table and a fully equipped kitchen. The beds are excellent with lots of pillows. The very good bathroom has its own boiler, so long showers can let you without hot water (there is a sign telling you about it). Our apartment, on the 1st floor had a huge... more
Absolutely magnificent
This is a luxury apartment well worth the money. We stayed in a two rooms bedroom and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. It was large and comfortable, tastefully furnished and with a good location in the centre of Granada. In few words, great service, great aparthotel.
very swish aparthotel
We had booked the Best Western Dauro Hotel. Anyone who has been to Granada will know about the parking problems which is worsened by the road works at the moment. After an hour of being unable to turn left we eventually made it to a public car park beside the Dauro to be told that they had No HOT WATER and they had put us into Suites 44 instead. They taxied us (incl 18 mth old son) across town to the suites. We were exhausted at this stage however when we got to Suites 44 we were greeted by charming receptionist Carmen who could not... more
new apartment hotel on main city street
We stayed here with our 22 year old daughter, so a suite suited us well. The hotel is very new and we encountered a few teething problems- our room lights fused on the first evening and this was not dealt with until the next morning- a particular nuisance as we had to leave early and were fumbling in pitch darkness for some time. We stayed for 3 nights and were not bothered about self catering, as there were plenty of restaurant opportunities to explore and we had little inclination to go food-shopping. However, it would have been nice... more
Got kids, perfect! Just prepared to park the car elsewhere
I have 2 quibbles: the photos on the website make the hotel lounge look vast. It is tiny. And the parking situation is terrible. Be prepared to find street parking or hike a bit. Other than that...this was a very good hotel. I am a hotel snob, so my standards are darn high. We were in a family suite and the beds were among the most comfortable we experienced in Spain. The bathrooms were very very nice...the toilets, with their automated bidet system, offered much amusement to my kids -- ages 14, 11. The suite arrangement was perfect for... more

Thank you for your review. We are newly open and highly appreciate the good comments. For other travelers in relation to the parking: the hotel has 4 parking spaces. if they are busy you can use two public car parks nearby. Ignacio. The hotel manager and owner

Great hotel, but.....
We stayed at Suites Gran Via on August 15, two families of six and four respectively. We paid an introductory rate of €163 for a two-bedroom suite and €96 for a one-bedroom suite, which was a complete bargain. The hotel is brand spanking new (so new that the TV hadn't been installed in one of the bedrooms yet--brackets on the wall, but no TV!). The suites are spotlessly clean and the bathrooms in particular were lovely, with Japanese style electric toilets which, as my young son put it, give you a "bum wash." Hours of fun for the... more

Thank you for your review. I like knowing that your stay with us was satisfactory. For future customers I would like to point out: With regard to the noise I must comment that not only the windows are double glazed but the exterior walls and ceilings are soundproofed with plasterboard and the pipes are specially soundproofed. If you open the window ,it is true that noise is heard as the hotel is located in the heart. regarding the parking I would say that the hotel has 4 private parking spaces. If this deal is recommend two nearby public parking. Ignacio.
