Holiday Inn Express Ramsgate - Minster

I stayed here for one night before heading to Dover Ferry Terminal. It is a nice hotel.The reception staff were friendly and helpful.The hotel is good value for money.There is a bar area with a good selection of beers,wines and spirits.There is information leaflets in reception area for surrounding places to visit,ie Dover Castle. We booked Saturday night at the hotel through Superbreaks for £40 for a double room. This is an amazing price for the room and a continental breakfast. The room was very pleasant, clean and comfortable. The only gripe we had, which could have been improved, was the Sunday morning breakfast. When we came to breakfast - at around 9.45, we found there were no cups and saucers for tea, no bread for toast, only extremely hard rolls. We stayed here overnight as I couldn't get a room at the Premier Inn at Maidstone due to booking on our actual day of travel. We got a really good deal booking directly with Holiday Inn by telephone and paid 49 pounds for the room including continental breakfast. The hotel is new and as such is spotless. From the outside, the hotel looks somewhat unexciting and plain. The entrance to the car park is unobvious (so much so that the elderly relative we were with drove across the pedestrian footpath to get in), but there is an nice 'newness' to it, despite it's unexciting exterior. The online advance purchase rates for this hotel mean you can buy a room for great prices - in our case £54. However, the hotel is far from £54 quality and is easily as good as some 4 star hotels I've stayed in - everything is spotless and gleaming and the staff friendly. The bathroom was large and very clean. We were catching the ferry to Ostend early the next morning and the friendly guy at check-in even offered to make sure some breakfast would be available at the time we were leaving. We stayed here on Saturday 31 August. We just needed a B&B for one night and noticed Holiday Inn Express had a special offer of a room for £49 (including continental breakfast for 2). The room was excellent value - comfortable bed, courtesy tray, hair-dryer connected close to a mirror and spotlessly clean bathroom with excellent shower. We stayed in this hotel for two nights before travelling on to Disneyland Paris. The rooms were immaculate, the beds were very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and would go out of their way to see to your needs. The breakfast was ample, there was no bacon etc but a very nice selection all the same. It is in a great position to get out and about in the Kent countryside, we visited Ramsgate, Broadstairs, Margate(dont bother) and Canterbury. All in all a very pleasant stay. Would recommend

We arrived on the Friday, we were attending my sons, "passing out parade " and were given this hotel as the nearest to the base. As soon as we walked into the reception, we knew we were going to be delighted with the hotel. The staff were very polite and friendly, our room was spotless, although there were no "frills" for the odd night it was more than adequate. (more than I can say for our hotel stay in Eastbourne). My husband and I really enjoyed our 2 night stay here.The hotel is well situated. We drove in from Dover(great castle) and Canterbury, the coastal towns, Wildwood (to see British animals) as well as many shops at Westwood Cross are all nearby. A supermarket is just across the road. The room was modern, spacious and spotless with a large TV.The bed and pillows were so comfortable-very important after a busy day touring. Stayed here for a two night break with my wife. It was a great base to explore Broadstairs and the nearby coastline. Rooms were immaculate and the service was excellent. Andrew was very welcoming. At breakfast he brought us a couple of chocolate croissaints that he had warmed in the oven. Great value compared to other hotels nearby and more modern. Very powerfull shower. Would recommend and stay there again.
