Citin Loft Hua Hin

We decided to come to Hua Hin after our flight got cancelled because of the volcanic ash and we needed somewhere cheap but comfortable. Citin Loft was amazing value - it was only around £30 per night and for this we got a great big room with king size bed, sofa, tv, proper a/c, big fridge and en suite bathroom - with breakfast included. This hotel provides value for money if you get a good deal. It is located on a residential road and is about 10 minutes walk to the beach and 15 minute walk to the Market Village shopping centre. There is a complimentary shuttle, but it is only used if there is a group. Rooms are very large, bathroom is small and could do with some minor refurbishments i.e. new shower head and shower curtain that fits properly; the basin does not have hot water. We reserved 2 nights at this hotel 1300 bht/night. Upon our arrival with proof of reservation, they told us they overbooked and sent us for the first night to a disgusting GUESTHOUSE. A dingy room with twin beds, dirty walls, immense mildew in the bathroom and mosquitoes to keep us up all night. No matter how mad and upset we were they chose to do nothing about it. Booked to stay here over the xmas holidays. Rooms are a decent size, the water is lukewarm in the shower, there was ants crawling up the wall one morning. We complained and got moved rooms. Breakfast is served from 7-11 , but if you go anytime after 9.30 there isnt much left. I wouldnt stay here again, its not worth the money, i have stayed in better guesthouses in asia for alot less money.

The wireless internet went in and out. The hot water didn't work. The toilet didn't work. The receptionist gave me misinformation. Well the location is good.

We stumbled across the Royal Asia Lodge almost by accident, and we were pleasantly surprised. We had only planned to stay two nights in Hua Hin, and when we decided to stay a third our hotel (Baan Duangkaew) were unfortunately unable to find room for us.
