I went to Hauza Beach Resort in June 2010 and I thought this hotel had it's good points and bad points. On the first day i got there i thought 'WOW' what an amazing hotel, i had never been to such a big hotel. It is full of family packed activities such as volleyball pitch, a private beach, slide pool, activity pool, table tennis tables etc. The animation team there were so funny and polite although they can be a bit annoying but overall they were very kind and helpful. The food was absoulutley rubbish! I was living on bread rolls for most of the time. Oh and there is a beach bar and they do home-made pizzas and they were gorgeous! While we were there we treated ourselves to a McDonalds and ohh they were amazing. My dad doesn't really like McDonalds but he really enjoyed that. They are twice the size of the ones in England. Now back to the hotel. The entertainment there was a bit cheesy but once you got into it and had a good crack it was a really good laugh! If you tip the waiters now and again they will bring you bigger glasses and offer to bring you your pizzas from the pizza bar if you wanted to eat it next to the pool. There is a pier on the beach and you can jump off it and look at all the fish there, it was amazing! But if you can't swim you can go to the shallow end of the sea and there is fish there. Take eggs to feed the fish, DO NOT TAKE BREAD it KILLS the fish! Do not recommend the boat trip because you don't see many fish you see more off the pier than in the middle of the sea! I recommend the water park that was really good day out. And the most awful part of the holiday was the stomach aches and the runs oh my god they were absoulotly horrible. I don't no what caused but everyone was getting it. Then wen you get back home it takes 2 weeks to go away! The rooms are basic and livable, we didn't spend much time in the room so really it was just somewhere to put your head. The complex was really nice, i think if this hotel had good food and more entertainment this would be a really good hotal and a really good holiday! But i wouldn't go back! I nearly forgot you had to pay for your ice creams!

Avoid this Hotel at all costs

I have been to Sharm several times, and had great experiances, but this hotel was the worst i have ever stayed in, it is surposed to be all inclusive, but they find ways to charge you extra for everything, nobody stayin there ever had anything good to say, i ignored the reviews, and went with an open mind, to my cost. if you are travelling with teenagers is no entertainment, other than to pay for them to go to Pacha, Hard Rock Cafe or even to attend the foam party on the hotels own beach is extra, which they will finish whatever time he like, with no refund if you complain, we left early because my daughters were touched up by their animation team, and still no refund !!!
to drink at the pool bar is a chargeable extra, ice cream is extra ( but free in other hotels ),the wine is totally undrinkable, the only drink guaranteed to be cold is beer, but you must drink these out of thimbles for cups, plus if you give in and start paying for all the extra's be warned, when you then get your bill, they also charge a food and beverage tax on everything !!! there is no disco, zoo, gym or horse riding as described, if you havent booked yet, Sharm is lovely, but this hotel IS NOT, there is far better for the same price, i know because i have tried them, POOR value

Seriously Reconsider - Change if you can

Where to start with this! Ok first things first.
If you become ill do not automatically assume that it is the food.
As with any all inclusive bookings you expect to have to pay for some things, but when you find out the water in the dispensers is contaminated (Management Admission) and you and your friends and family are all cramped and sick you might expect the hotel to lay on free bottled water. No not the Hauza Beach they removed the dispensers (eventually) and decided to sell the water from its bar for nearly £2 for a small bottle. We actually witnessed someone who became so ill drinking the water, having to be put on a drip by the resorts doctor. This again was an experiance to behold, ended up collapsing her vein so my reccomendation need a doctor here seek outside help.
The hotel did not even go on to tell the other guests that there was a problem with the water and the young and old carry on regardless.
The food was not upto the standard of a 2star and we have actually eaten better food prepared in better condidtions in the worst greasy spoon you could find in the UK.
Alcholic Drinks although many were free, they really were below even the level of canned shandies, though it did become clear that they must have had the same problem with the draught pumps as the water dispensers on the bars as they also were put out of commission and bottled beverages were then being given out.
We complained because although this was a cheap holiday it was sold as 5 star via the travel agents although the hotel did state in Egypt the hotel was only rated a 4. From the moment we did that the hotel staff turned on us, became rude arrogant and unhelpful. This hotel is clearly only a 2 star at best.
If you have booked to go then my advice as I have had lots of other friends and family that have been to Egypt and have all loved it, would be to find a different hotel or resort this one may not make you ever want to go back which would be a great shame.
To anyone thats been and is just looking at other peoples reviews to see if they have had similar experiances of sickness and cramps, i am creating a facebook page to let everyone come together to take this forward and get this hotel properly graded or maybe even removed from Tour operators websites until these problems are solved.
How many more people have to become ill at this resort before someone becomes seriously ill and unable to recover.

Absolutely Horrible

I stayed here with my wife and 3 young kids in June 2010. The hotel is dirty and shabby. the rooms are terrible. our bath was stained and had taken on an awful orange and brown colour. The sink plug was full of calcium deposits and we even found a complimentary hair! the shower head had rusted into a bright green colour and the floor tiles were cracked and full of dirt. the baby cot was scratched, dirty and full of dust. there were plenty of splinters in case our youngster tried to escape!
The food was unrecogniseable at times. If somebody had put it in a tin and called it 'Woofie' my dog would have refused it. the queues were massive and the food was cold. the kids would only eat bread rolls. i must saqy we saw the staff taking uneaten bread rolls from people's side plates after they had gone and putting them back in the bread basket.
the staff were on the whole rude and would not listen constructively to our complaints. the drinks were like methylated spirits and the cups the size of thimbles. My daughter managed to get faeces from the swimming pool all over her hands and the staff refused to accept it.
The travel agent i booked with left us to contract stomach complaints despite numerous e-mails and phone calls - we're still waiting for our test results from Environmental Health/GP.
Always struggled to get a sun lounger. plenty of steps to keep you fit. There used to be a Zoo but now only a few flamingos enjoying an acrid green pond and very little space.
i could go on and on. please see my review on another popular travel website for photos.
Avoid at all costs.

Worst hotel ever!

I am giving this hotel a 1 and that is for the beach and the amazing fish, everything else was terrible!
The hotel just about scrapes in at a 3* at the most, the rooms are tatty and very dirty, the beds were so hard and you were only given a sheet and what only can be described as a dog blanket. We also had ants in our sink on most days.
Food in the main restaurant was inedible, you didn't know what you were eating and it was cold. No choice, no fruit and tiny plastic cups to drink out of. The service was slow, no cutlery on the tables, just the last persons food left on the table.
We were all very sick with sickness and diarrhea, our son was unable to leave the room for 4 days. Staff just said it was down to the heat!
Poo was found in the main pool and staff would not beleive us even although it was smeared up a little girls hand.
The pools were never seen to be treated or the water checked.
The a la carte restaurants were chargeable so not included in the all-inclusive.
All in all this was the worst place I have every been. We have been back over a week and 3 out of the 4 of us still have upset stomachs and have to go to the doctors for tests.
Dont go if you vakue your health!

Don't go there!

This hotel was absolutely awful, and certainly not a 5*. The building works are shabby and have broken stone virtually everywhere (and exposed wires!). The room was tolerable, but very basic, and, on our first day there the shower handle came off in my hand, the towel rail broke, the shower rail feel done, and the sink was leaking! We barely ate any of the bland food which gave as all (all 7 of us, including 3 kids!) diarrhoea and stomach cramps. This according to my GP today is going to take up to 2 weeks to clear. It wasn't all inclusive (you had to pay for ice-cream, fresh juice drinks, water melon) and the drinks were atrocious. What they called a juice was predominately water! The staff were only nice if they thought you were going to give them some money, and there was constant harassment as you sat on by the pool, as you were approached to book massages, trips out etc My holiday concluded with the rep threatening me as I complained about these issues, with him stating, "you make one problem for me I make serious trouble for you!" I thought he was going to assault me. I would never go to Egypt again!!!!!

I was really looking forward to my 1st trip to Egypt, but after staying here i have been put off going abroad again. Room dirty, no plug in bath, no water provided. all inclusive isnt all inclusive. out of our party of 7, 6 were violently ill with sickness and upset stomachs.. my 6 year old was the only one not ill because she didnt eat or drink anything from the hotel as didnt like, a wise choice in hindsight. The hotel management kept insisting we were the only ones ill and that it was due to the heat?!!!! we came home yesterday and as we left they were shutting the pools down - no reason given at 3pm in temperatures of 45c. obviously very unhappy. when getting drinks, no glasses just plastic cups, having to drink lager from plastic little cups not ideal, meant getting 4 cups to equate to 1/2 pint! not recommended to drink the juice or water from coolers as suggested that water topped up from taps! whilst we were there over the week we saw 3 separate inspections from reps and 'environmental' officials. not a good advert for the resort or egypt. Entertainment for children very poor other than the pool and a 45 minute mini disco not a lot for them to do. the Beach is excellent with the ability to go and swim with fish and look at coral. however in resort constantly bothered with reps trying to sell diving trips, massages, pedicures, hair braiding, snorkelling etc. at least 1 interuption an hour.

This hotel is not a 5*, more like a 2* at most. All inclusive is a misleading statement, you have to pay for certain drinks, ice creams, pizza, snacks on the beach etc. entertainment is non existant, but pool facillities and beach access is about the only good thing about this hotel. constant mither to spend your money on trips or massage or beauty treatment, or trips to desert, and will not take no for an answer. only certain good part is the weather. Food is not worth talking about, a lot of people ill after eating it, lived on bread rolls and soup all week. please beware of booking this hotel.

What a disgusting place. It is dingy, dirty and needs demolishing.
I would say to anyone who wants to remain healthy avoid at all costs. Our family were staying there and we went to visit from a neighbouring hotel. Our grandchildren had sickness and diarreha and were unable to eat what was loosly termed the food.My son and his wife had to pay for chips, icecream, water ,pizza etc for the children at this so called all inclusive resort.Mango juice was 3euros a glass!
Rooms are small, dark and shabby. This place is 2 star on a good day!

this hotel is one of the best places we've stayed in, we liked it so much we've been here twice, the rooms are basic but well kept and clean, which is all u need when your only sleeping in the room, with direct access to a private beach and supurb snorkelling, there is plenty to do if you just want a chilled out relaxing holiday, alternitvely if you want a bit of hustle and bustle naama bay is just a short taxi ride away (dont forget to haggle) food is pretty good for an egyptian all inclusive, there is somethig for everyone, if ur not sure about the quisine then there is always the pasta station, i dont understand the bad reviews about this place we found it to be everything we need from a relaxing holiday, its simple, if ur nice to the staff they will remember and then they will bend over backwards to help u if you ever need it, rudeness gets u ziltch!!!!
Only pointer if you like a pint, then take a plastic pint glass cos they dont even do halves, lol
