Holiday Inn Express Nottingham City Centre

Stayed here for two nights last weekend 15/16 Oct 2005. Our room was attractive, clean and quiet at night which surprised us given some of the residents! Complimentary cont breakfast was varied and plentiful. A good place to stay for a few nights. Other Express by HOliday Inns have also been very satisfactory in the past.

We stayed here earlier this year for the re-scheduled Elton John Gig which should have happened in December 04 but was cancelled. You can read my review of the Comfort Inn which we had the misfortune to stay in when we were in Nottingham in December. This time we decided to try the Holiday Express having used other hotel in in their chain. There is a big car park across the road and you can get discounted parking via holiday Inn. Great value for money. We were in Nottingham for a family wedding and got a big room with 2 double beds for £60 a night. Despite the city centre location there was no problem with noise and maybe we just got lucky, but there didn't seem to be any late night noise from adjoining rooms, even though there were a couple of big all male groups staying that weekend. Very clean, a decent breakfast choice, and cheap parking in the NCP opposite. No complaints at all...but do those key cards ever work!

Great hotel in the city centre. Very bright and spacious. Rooms were well equiped and very clean. Great location for shops, resaturants, pubs etc. Will definitely return.

Wanted a cheap place to stay, after paying to seeing Green Day at the Arena plus travel. The express inn was the cheapest offer I could fine, and the best by far, the location; five minutes walk(depend how quick you walk) into the centre of town. The secuity was excellent, the quality was fanastic. I would definiety recommend this hotel, i would go again.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights in February whilst on a hen party. The hotel is spotless with simple modern prints in the walls as decoration. This hotel is perfect for visiting with friends as it has a fantastic location for the bars and restaurants, without being noisy. Although on the opposite side of town to the bus station, it is only a 10 minute walk. Breakfast is self-service continental buffet with a nice selection of pastries, cereals etc. Would definately stay again with friends, but perhaps not for a romantic weekend.

I went to a business trip to Nottingham England and selected the express by holiday inn Nottingham hotel. I most say that it was beyond all my expectations because the room (single) is very big with and has a big nice bed, sofa, T.V. , equipment for preparing tea and coffee, very nice bathroom, air-condition and a big table with a chair to work on or anything else and the most important thing (for me anyhow) the room is very very clean. Absolutely fantastic. Spent 2 nights here over a weekend whilst watching an International Cricket match. Price was very reasonable considering what was on in the City, and the fact it was a weekend. Only minutes from the train station (£3 cab?), local buses just down the road, and able to stumble home after a few drinks in some of the local pubs. Staff were friendly, hotel is very modern and clean, rooms were reasonable size and bathroom was fantastic. Missed the free breakfast (slept in first morning, had to leave too early the next)... more
