Hilton Liverpool

Stayed at the Hilton for 2 nights from 13th December and I have to say that I found the hotel to be very poor value for money. The only thing that it has going for it is its location. Had many problems that included no signal on the TV, no hot water, very poor pressure coming from the shower, empty mini bar etc!!. Also be aware that it states on the web site that it has a swimming pool, which it doesn't. I would not expect this from a 4 star hotel, costing £124 a night. Travelled for a birthday break to the Liverpool Hilton. Stayed in a King Exec suite (room 600) and I must say this room has some of the best views of the city available. One side has a perfect view of the Albert Dock area and the other side of the room is right next to the Liverpool Eye Ferris wheel, both views look amazing at night. The hotel is only 100 yds from the main shopping district 'Liverpool One' and has discounted car parking in the underground NCP car park so access is easy and safe. Stayed for one night on the 20th december. Was kindly upgraded to an executive room and had access to the lounge. Hotel including rooms were tastefully decorated with a contemporary feel. Staff were mainly from surrounding areas so that was really nice to see. As you walk out of the hotel your in the midst of the shops, john lewis and all the other stores. Car parking is underground (called q park - liverpool 1) and costs just £9 for 24 hours if you are a resident of the hilton. Lifts take you to just opposit hotel entrance. Will... more

I haven't used tripadvisor before, but after the stay I had at this hotel felt I had to. I thought it was a great looking hotel at first sight, but I couldn't have been more disappointed with my stay. I think it has only just opened, everything has a "new" feeling to it. Not a good enough excuse for the problems I had though. I too had problems with the water, spoke to 2 different people about it but neither seemed bothered or willing to help. Positives: Unrivaled location for the new Liverpool One shopping complex and parking. This appears to be a very new hotel, staff still seem to be learning their job and parts of the hotel are unfinished or never been used. The Hilton website says there is a swimming pool at the hotel, there is not! I would not choose to stay at this hotel again, or at the very least not until it is finished.

The Hilton is recently opened so you expect a few snags but we experienced enormous blunders e.g. a 25 minute wait for two coffees, our restaurant order overlooked by the Chef when there were only two tables occupied, concierge misplaced our luggage which was later found immersed in a disorganised heap in the storeage are. Room was OK had there not been a leak in the bathroom and a distinct lack of hot water for a bath at 8.30.a.m. on a Sunday! We had originally booked the Malmaison and should have gone there.

I have tried my best to give the benefit of the doubt to this hotel as it is only new, but as I stay in many Hilton properties, I have to say that this one was very disappointing. As you approach the hotel you may notice that there are still fences around the exterior. I don't think it's totally finished yet. It isn't possible to check in at the executive lounge on the 7th floor if you're staying on the executive floors. This is due to the fact that you need a key to access these floors. Well well what can i say. This hotel is really amazin. The review by Rowz says it all. I agree with everything said about the room, the bar, including the blonde singer. Honestly worth every penny which is a good job! We didnt get to experience the restaurant however, instead opting for the awesome Chaophraya oppsite the hotel and drinks at the adjoining equally glam Palm Sugar. Just returned from an overnight stay at the Liverpool Hilton Hotel. Its location is great, right opposite the Albert Dock and on the edge of the Liverpool One shopping area. The parking is easy, underground at the QPark and right next to the hotel. The reception is light and airy with a beautiful glass staircase. There is a very welcoming doorman and porter who offered to take our cases as soon as we entered the hotel.
