Mint Hotel Manchester

just arrived back after a 2 night stay, fantastic hotel, just what we wanted, close to shops and theatres, very clean, shower fab! the staff are the friendliest we have come across in a long time, nothing to much trouble, will definately go back and reccomend to friends.

Right,... LOCATION: this location of this hotel is good if you need to be near Manchester Piccadilly station as its across the road, and its about 10 minutes walk into the town centre. APPRERANCE: The hotel is very modern looking and looks new. ROOM: very modern (see photos)The only other thing was the AC, dunno what it does but it leaves you feeling dehydrated and we both left with sore throats. IMAC!!!! On arrival, reception was very busy even if they had 5 counters and I had to queue in the street on a raining day without any apology. I booked a superior room but was not impressed! The room was too small and everytime I wanted to get into the wardrobe I had to move the small table and chair they had squeezed into the room. After looking at the website I was annoyed to find that the standard room has the same spec! Bathroom floor was dirty but when I contacted reception, i was told it will be cleaned on turndown, 4 hours... more

I spent two nights from 16 to17 November and cannot fault it. Nice sized room (not big but fine for me), an extremely comfortable bed, lovely pillows and a decent sized shower. The free iMac centre was a lovely bonus and easy to use. Whilst they do also have free internet access for your laptop (if you don't want to access it via the iMac) you DO need to bring your own LAN cable or buy one from Reception. Stayed in many hotels in Manchester City Inn is way infront of the best , had room service and food was historic , breakfast first class , service top notch . I Mac media system though awkward to use was fantastic . Go there before everybody else does

My partner and i have just got back from a weekend at the City Inn, Manchester. I went off the recommendations from this website and we weren't disappointed. The location was good, especially if you are travelling by train. It is opposite Picadilly train/tram station. We went up for the football and walked to Old Trafford.....it was roughly 45mins/1hr but an easy walk and reception will give you a map. The shopping centres are walkable too. Great hotel. Located very close to main train station and all shopping areas. I Mac in every room and free wireless internet too. Great range of channels free in room and all the mod cons that you wud expect. The hotel is very new and has clean fresh lines. The staff were very helpful and I have to say with the relaxed but trendy vibe in the hotel I enjoyed the stay here, more than any hotel for a very long time.

Great location as everything seemed to be in walking distance. We had a city club room, which was fairly small but had everything you needed for a short stay (ironing board, hairdryer, water etc). The hotel is very modern and clean and the service was very good. The apple tv is a very good gadget to play with and free internet access was a good perk. Breakfast was excellent - loads of choice and really tasty. Would consider staying here again next time we were in the area although i quite fancy trying the malmasion hotel... more
