UNA Hotel Napoli

Loved this hotel! Perfectly situated in one of the main Piazzas by the Train Station. The hotel is beautifully designed, with large, comfortable rooms and a brillant roof top bar. We only stayed the one night in Naples before moving on down the coast but were quite happy to venture out into the city despite negative press! Naples is a busy port and is as noisy and lively as you'd expect from such a city. Not very clean but the people seem nice and we didn't find it intimidating at all. We booked the hotel via Venere.com - they allow cancellation within reasonable time frame without any fees. The hotel was great value, very clean, good design, great breakfast on the roof with amazing views. I really have only good things to say. Located very centrally.

Positive aspects: The hotel is perfectly located in Piazza Garibaldi, where all trains, underground and bus meet. The rooms have an impressive design and breakfast is served in the roof, with nice view above the city. We were twice in the hotel, once in a standard room and other in an executive. Both types are excellent. Negative aspects: Piazza Garibaldi has lots of traffic and seems unsecure at night. However, the proximity to all kind of transportation more than compensates this. No SPA nor swimming pool.

We were a group of people (8) staying in Naples for one night before getting the sailingboat we had rented. Found UNA Hotel Napoli through The TripAdvicer and was very pleased with that the good reviews fitted with what we arrived to. Summing up the hotel standard; Clean, neat, english speaking, central (allthough in a bit worn out part of Naples) and a nice roof terrace for a night cap and breakfast in the morning. A very nice hotel both for business and pleasure travellers.

Among the hotels in Piaza Caribaldi, the hotel Una stands out. When we stayed there and walked around the neighbourhood, we could recognise the names of the other hotels we reviewed before booking, and were glad we hadn't chosen those. Piaza Caribaldi is a great location to stay in terms of accessibility. It may not be in the centre of Napoli, but it is the centre of the public transport system and from there you can go anywhere within Napoli, or the region. I was looking for a place to stay in Naples for one night after an afternoon train ride in from Rome. TripAdvisor hasn't failed me yet. This hotel is so good for the price it is hard to believe. It is true - the train station area is the ARM PIT OF NAPLES. Filthy, degusting, crazy, downright scary. But you only have to walk across the palazzo from the train station to get to the hotel - just 2 blocks max but through a whirlwind of traffic, a bus station and panhandlers. Stayed 1 night at the UNA Hotel Naples after returning from a few days in Capri. The neighbourhood is awful but the hotel is great and very cheap (less than 100€ per night). High-ceilinged room, very well decorated, very clean and quiet. Beds are confortable. The bathroom is also nice. The breakast on the top roof is pretty good with a nice view on the city. I will go back with pleasure!

My husband and I stayed at the UNA Napoli for two nights in March, 2007, in a superior double room on the fifth floor with a small balcony overlooking the Piazza Garibaldi, at a rate of 136.8 Euros/night. We' ve spent 3 nights at Hotel Una ( 9 -12 March). And we were very satisfied with this hotel. Nice room, helpful staff, and really rich breakfast. Location of the hotel is not bad, on foot or by bus everything is easily available. The surroundig of the hotel is not the niceset, but it's Naples...The hotel is a really Paradise in this crazy city ! Be careful, if travelling on crowded buses ! You can be easily robbed out ! I can highly recommend this hotel for everyone !

I stayed here on the 27th and 28th January. I booked a suite over the telephone through the chain's headquarters in Calenzano, Florence. This proved to be the best price and much cheaper than Una's website. I paid 320 EUR (total), with breakfast, for 2 nights.
