Serious staff issues!
from pclash
This Hotel looks wonderful in the photo and even when you arrive first impressions are good. It is a very modern hotel which some may not like. Firstly the reception was manned by a very bored Guy I aked him for an upgrade and he looked at me with a blank expression on him face. I didn't push it! The rooms are very nice, but you need to be a seasoned traveller to guess how to use the gadgets ie ipod docking station had no speakers, but my partner is a wizz and figured out sound comes throught the TV. There needs to be a information...

Again Poor Service
from nichos1
As a family we stayed at this hotel for the weekend on their all inclusive deal which was dinner, bed and breakfast for two nights with unlimited drinks for kids, all for a total of £138.00 which i thought was excellent value. I went with low expectations however after we checked in we were surprised by how nice the hotel looked. We went to the room and this was clean with good beds for the kids, not z beds or sofa beds but a single bed, everything looked good. We went to the leisure centre for a swim and the staff and facilities...

Nice modern facility, poorly managed. Staff need training and experience.
from BizTraveler_Online
Stayed here for a week on business. For the area, this hotel is modern, comfortable and overall nice. I agree with others that service is lacking. Front reception seems to be the worse. Dont ask questions. You will be promised a call back "when i find out" and it never happens. (Tried that 3x) Left a message for the sales manager/manager. No call backs. I was told to call the front desk and they will route me if the manager was available. PLEASE place a MANAGER on DUTY at the FRONT DESK AT ALL TIMES. Everytime I asked, he was in a...

Very modern but poorly trained staff
from traveller64Glasgow
The hotel had just opened and therefore I was understanding about the check in staff not knowing how to use the computer, the printer running out of paper, and two different room keys not working, but beware when I checked in on a Tuesday evening at approx 7pm, the queue was 6 people long. . The reception is pleasant and the Starbucks a welcome sight. Bar food was OK but quite pricey. Rooms are comfortable but it takes a degree in engineering to figure out where everything is kept – all flush lines and minimal. It...

Loved it
from MossyCardiff
Have just stayed here with two children for the weekend as we were going to Legoland, which is only about 35 minutes drive away. We were pleasantly suprised given some of the reviews below. We paid £49 per night for bed and full breakfast for a family of four, you cant get better than that, especially for what you get. Our room was very nice, no view, but I dont stay in a hotel to stare out the window (well not in Farnborough anyway!). It was clean and well laid out with two single beds for the children so they werent fighting...

nice gym...err thats about it
from oxfordquin
for a new hotel, rooms are not as plush as you thought they would be..and whats the point of having ipod docks if there are no speakers! beds comfy, toiletries etc spartan. Gym/pool area is worth a visit but after working up a hunger suggest you stay clear of the bar and restaurant... ordered chilli burger, which was cold, the chilli seemed to be just a bit of mushed mince with a sprinkling of kidney beans on top...£9.45 for the privelege and £3+ for a pint of dish water passed off as bitter. Breakfast next day was little better.<br...

Good but now way too expensive...
from mlayca
A quality hotel which was very much needed in Farnborough. Good amenities, high quality rooms. Initial rates of around £80 per night have now unfortunately increased to around £140 per night mid week, which is simply way too expensive for this hotel. Staff training also needs to improve as I have had my credit card incorrectly charged on more than one occasion.
More designed for business than pleasure
from DecorTK1
We came for a long weekend as we know the area and it was an opening bargain rate. The immediate impression inside is trendy but dingy - all dark wood, khaki paint and purple uplighters then mad stripy carpets! Even the pool area and changing rooms feel claustrophobic due to the colour scheme and design. The original bedroom was a very small double but there were no kingsize rooms to upgrade to, so we asked for a twin room and then we would push the beds together. There was no need to shift the furniture as the beds were already...

disappointing
from rober11
I came to this new hotel with high expectations as it was a new place. unfortunately i was disappointed. the place was clean and nice enough if a little soul less, but the service was really lacking. I understand that the hotel has only just opened, so the staff are new, but they should get some more training before serving the public. My room key just refused to work and the reception staff kept implying it was my fault somehow which I found inappropriate. The waiting staff were inattentive, i had to wave frequently to get...

great hotel
from sh29
we stayed here for a 2 nite break on 6th & 7th March, This was the hotels opening week and I have to say that yes there where a few teething problem, but nothing that was sorted immediately by the management. The leisure facilities where great, a real treat to spend the day out and about and then come back to a nice relaxing chill. The Verve grill....well what can I say, have ate at verve before, but this was beyond exceptional. The staff, although all very new and still obviously training where absolutey great, every one...
