Stracey Hotel

I have Been to Norwich several times over the past 40 years but until recently always staying on a boat on the Broads. I cannot always do this now so staying in Norwich is the next best thing and our stay at the Stracey Hotel for the first time was one of the best decisions I have made. It is so conveniently situated for everything, so close to the station( which makes it so easy to visit places on the Broads as well as the coast ), local transport and all the new Riverside complex as well as the city centre and all it has to offer. 10 out of 10 what a wonderful new hotel. The food was just delicious, the staff very helpful, the rooms are spacious and immaculatly clean. The train station is just around the corner. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone, weather an overnight stay or just for a cracking meal and good surroundings.

Considerate & helpful staff. Clean, fresh & elegant comfort. Modern furnishings. Evening meal & breakfast cooked to perfection in taste & quality.

I would rate this hotel as a five star venue, The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The bar staff are willing to stay open for as long as they are needed. The quality of the food serviced in the restaurant is ecellent and I would recomend it to anyone who was looking for a relaxing evening with high quality service. Another good quality to the hotel is it is just up the road from the train station so guests can travel from a far for a relaxing evening out and be able to have a drink in peace.

As soon as we arrived was welcomed to a warm welcome from the manager, i believe that was the case, as he seemed to be the one in charge, the stracey hotel was recomended from a friend of mine, and i was not dissapointed, the meals were great and the rooms to a high standard, the staff were so polite and helpfull to make our stay that much better, all i can say it was a great few days while here on business, many thanks to the management and the staff, for an enjoyable time

Went for weekend with young family. On the plus side: newly-decorated throughout, well-appointed room, very clean, comfy beds (even the Z-bed put up for my 7-year-old) with good quality bed linen. Friendly staff, and perfectly decent, generous-sized breakfast. BUT on the minus side: General sense of cluelessness about real care for the customer. My wife and two teenage daughters stayed for a weekend. The hotel didn’t have a room with a double and two singles and didn’t have a twin available so we ended up with the youngest on a camp bed. Despite the arguments about that the time we spent at the hotel was enjoyable; meals were decent, rooms were clean and the staff were professional. Just needs more family rooms.

Was sent to Norwich at short notice; booked this newly refurbished hotel as fitted in with my budget. Excellent service, facilities and brand new accommodation throughout. Fabulous TV in my room, very clean, beautiful shower and good quality bathroom toiletries. Well -stocked bar, excellent breakfast, and very good choice on evening menu. Will definately return to this super hotel!

This was my first visit to Norwich and hoped that I had booked a decent room for my 3 night stay near the City Centre... Thankfully the Stracey Hotel was just the place...My TomTom directed me right to the Doorstep with Free Parking right outside. I've stayed at the owners other hotel called Wensum (it's a B&B but more like a hotel - brilliant palce). If this Stracey hotel is as good it'll definately get business from our organisation.
