Great...but not for kids
We were booked in to the lago taurito but when we got to reception they offered us 'an upgrade to 4 star in the newly built hotel' so we took them up. At first we were dubious, but once we entered the room we were quite taken aback at how nice it was. Everything was excellent at that point, the room, the view although we didn't like the adjoining doors to the next rooms. When we went for our meal the food was hot/warm (people can't seriously expect red hot food all the time at a buffet can they?) but there is no kids menu. The... more
This is a fantastic hotel
There is little I can add to all the other excellent reviews of the Valle Taurito. It's probably not the ideal choice for families with teenagers. However, free access to the Lido/Water Park would make it a good choice for younger children. Inland we could see a heavily overcast sky every day. But the clouds always missed Playa Taurito and the sun shone every day.The balconies catch the sun in the morning, and are shaded in the afternoon/evening. The hairdryer was powerful; pool towels can be borrowed;shampoo/soap, hangers provided... more
A Good Quality Hotel
We agree with all the good comments about this hotel. It's new and modern, the beds are comfy, service is good. Rooms ending in 'A' have a walk in shower, rooms ending in 'B' have a bath and shower. There is liquid soap near the sink and a shower gel/shampoo near the shower. Food and drinks are available between main meals at the pool bar. But note that there is not a lot of choice for children or vegetarians, which didn't affect us but was a problem for some people staying there. Resort consists of beach, hotels, water park and... more
Stunning Hotel
We stayed in this hotel for a week at the end of February on an All Inclusive package. We thought the hotel was wonderful and incredibly stylish. It was very modern with contemporary decoration and as it was only built at the end of last year, everything was still brand new and shiny! Overall the rooms were spectacular and large with great balconys and views. The All inclusive package was good with all the drinks you can think of and tea and coffee served all day which you don't get in every AI hotel. The restaurant was great with... more
Superb 4 star hotel
I'll try to keep this brief but also try to get the points across, We were upgraded to this hotel from the Lago Taurito which seemed fine untill we went over to the Valle Taurito. The rooms were very clean modern looking and spacious too, bathroom big and great shower and bath . The resturant was very good with a varied selection of food some of witch was cooked fresh in the central cooking area within the restaurant. Take note they cook Goat and I can reccomend it. Although there was very little entertainment at the hotel we... more
Has some way to go for a 4 star
My wife and I arrived in the early hours and after a very swift check in, we were shown to the dining room for a light snack - very welcome at this time of the morning! After getting to our room (which was very spacious) we had a good few hours sleep before breakfast the next morning. The rooms were very new and spotless, but were quite 'spartan'. Some of the usual touches were missing - sachets of shower gel and bath salts etc, which you would find in other 4 star hotels. The staff try to make up for these omissions by folding towels... more
Nice to be upgraded!!
We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights after being upgraded from the Lago Taurito. We found this hotel to be quiet and relaxing - which was what we were looking for as we were travelling with our 4 month old son. The rooms were clean - but I think this was mainly because they were new. Our sheets were never changed the whole stay, but the towels were replaced daily and the room made up daily also. This is an all inclusive resort so there is not really much else to do apart from eat sleep and read. There is a kids disco and mini... more
modern, stylish but still abit unfinished
Hello from ice cold Helsinki Finland! Me and my husband just arrived on saturday 14th of february back from this new hotel. Overall it was a very nice experience. Everything is new, stylish, modern and the service is high standard. But plese note that: there are no mini-bars in the rooms, the pool is not heated - it is freezing cold and if you get a room beside another ( the rooms are divided like 617 A and 617 b) there is no sound isolation . Only a very ridiculously thin door.... you can hear everything. Even if somebody speaks... more
Loved it!
We orginally booked the sister hotel Hotel Costa Taurito but were offered a change of hotel and after a look we decided to take advantage of what is a beautiful hotel. although there were one or two teething problem they were hardly noticable because of the attentive staff, wonderful rooms balcony, food and drinks. We were offered very good quality wine with lunch and dinner which was table service for the first carrafe then help yourself basis if you required any further plus jugs of cold water on the table. The food was very good with at... more
Just opened december 2008
was offered a free upgrade from Playa taurito to the new hotel all inclusive package, the a.i. wines were far superior to our original hotel andCava was included in the A.I deal, there were some teething problems,i.e. the fire alarms were not operatiomal ,this was evident as the red plastic dust covers were still fitted to the smoke detectors and the air conditioning was not operational either. We stayed there from dec 15th to 22nd,the food was o.k. but not exceptional and usually luke warm. The reason for the free upgrade was to help break in... more
