BEST BY FAR
I have been using this hotel for 20 + years, with my family and also as part of a group, the hotel and facilities have improved greatly over this period of time, and continue to do so. The hotel is situated minutes from the sea front, near to English Riviera Centre. You can stay in the hotels bedrooms or take an apartment, although there is no lift in the apartment block. Staff in all areas of the Hotel are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is a joy and certainly worth getting up for, Evening Meals are a... more
Excelent as usual
Us usual very good, staff excelent, food as good as usual. Will be back either at Christmas or April
last minute trip - excellent week
We booked this dancing week only the day before we travelled, as our trip to Spain was cancelled due to volcanic ash. The 'Social' dancing was a great success and did as as promised, with the organisers playing something for everyone from beginners to experienced dancers. The hotel itself was excellent value, the food was especially good and the swimming pools are very good. We booked a standard room, which was good value, but I will probably choose an upgraded room when I return. Car parking is good, and the town centre is only a few... more
Clean tidy excellent staff food fantastic valve for money.
The Basic rooms are just that good value for money a little tired in places and could do with some updating. The food and service is fantastic value for money. The hotel facilities are very good combining four hotels into one where you can use all the facilities they have to offer. On a down side the basic rooms are near to the road and are very noisy at time partially the one over the main entrance when the delivery truck and the bin lorries arrive early in the morning. That said you get what you pay for. The hotel is cleaned to a very high... more
A great Hotel
We have stayed at this hotel for 12-years, twice a year, as a party of 100+. Until this year, not on line, but now. For all our visits especially this latest one. Thank you very much. The staff as always are kindly and helpful with a little humour and fun to help good relations. The breakfast and evening meal is always appertising and hot and with numerous choices. All rooms accesible by lift, plenty of rooms have a sea view. The buses are just outside and train station nearby ready for excursions all... more
Latinfest Salsa Weekender
I have been bringing a group to the Victoria for many years and the support from the staff and management is second to none. The food is excellent, the facilities great and would not hesitate to holiday there.

Was a great weekend, will pass your comments onto the staff, look forward to seeing you all back for the September event.

As always a fantastic break with the best service available.
We have been staying at the TLH site every year (except once in 2003) since 2001. Says it all, we just can't keep away. We stay in the Victoria at least twice a year. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They are all very friendly and courteous at all times and the wide choice of food (we are vegetarian) is the best we have eaten on holiday. We have made many friends on our visits. Our teenage son loves it. The Arena games is fantastic for young and old and is the biggest games area we have ever seen at a holiday venue. We... more

So glad to hear you have had a fantastic break, will pass your great comments onto my staff, thanks!

What isn't available under the one roof is just a convenient dotto train ride away
This was our fourth trip to the complex. We have stayed in the Derwent, the Carlton and the Victoria. Our rooms have always ben spacious and spotless. Paying the supplement for a sea-view/upgrade is worth every penny. The staff are friendly and helpful in every way. The dining staff are superb - attentive, accurate but also discrete. My daughter and I always visit the Spa for a little treat (with 15% off as a resident!), and we love having a great swimming pool on site. The afternoon tea and biscuits is an added bonus, while the evening... more

Thank you for your kind words. We hope to see you again soon. Kindest regards.

Poor Easter Service
Good Friday - room was not serviced. Easer Saturday - Breakfast table had cutlery missing. Entertainment not up to the usual standards. I wrote all of this on the 'how was your stay' flyer. They obviously don't read them otherwise they wouldn't have sent me a link to this site. Have been going to the TLH hotels on and off for the last 15 years. This was by far the worst experience.
Management response from dfeasey

Unfortunately mistakes do happen from time to time although rare, I would believe that these would of been put right immediately, I hope that after 15 years visiting TLH that this one occasion will not stop future visits. The How was your stay comment cards are always read by the teams and discussed and are reported within the company on a monthly basis, we aim to be open with our customer comments and always look to use them to improve our facilities or services.

fab hotel great location plenty to do!
really roomy apartments, had half board in the restaraunt, great food! part of a complex so had a choice of 4 pools ( 2 indoor), entertainment is good something for everyone. A stroll away from the beach, a bit further to the town. Have a 3 year old and never short of things to do, would reccomend to all ages!

So glad you all enjoyed, look forward to you returning.

Good weekend break
Stayed for 3 nights on a learn to ballroom dance break. The host and her team were very good at putting everyone at their ease and the tuition was good. However the group was too large for the room we were in and at times it was difficult to see or hear the teacher. There was also a hen party of approx 20 taking part who wanted to have a good time. This I fully understand and they did provide the weekend with a few laughs, but for those of us who wanted to learn as much as possible in our short break they were very noisy and distracting.<br... more
