A place to have serenity
I read a lot of bad reviews about the hotel from the previous years. I went there to have a break last weekend and I guess they improved a lot. The rooms are exacty the same as Le Meridien Al Aqah and you can even relax in your own bathroom using the luxury shower tower. The whole vicinity is so quite because there's no club with loud music in the hotel.
Perfectly Quiet and Restful
I absolutely loved this hotel The view from my room was extraordinary, the service excellent, the food terrific. I was there on business and I completely enjoyed my stay. I would return in a heartbeat.
Very Bad
Absolutely awful hotel in the middle of nowhere. Rooms are so basic and very swimming pool. Where they serve breakfast in the morning the smell of the kitchen goes into your room. Very strange staff.
rest and relaxation ASSURED
I liked the look of the Khatt springs while plodding through the Emirates hotels website, i fancied some wintersun and had heard the U.A.E was the place to go, i was not disapointed. From Dubai International it took 90 mins via private transfer. I had a deluxe room which was of a very high standard as you would expect. Breakfast was buffet style in the Palmerie restaurant and catered to both European and Arabic tastes. Dinner was also in this restaurant, both a la carte and buffet style, and i was spoilt for choice every meal... more
one of the worst 5 star hotel in the world
having read others reveiws dated july/aug 2006. it would appear the problems with pool, steam room ,sauna etc have and are well etablished and very much a permant feature. During our stay all free recreational facilities were withdrawn, funnily enough all the chargeable treatments were always available, the road leading up to the hotel had collapsed, it was just a building site for the duration of our stay. the food was awful, they advertised menu that they did not have, they could not make eggs benedict, and offered an veg omlette in its... more
Oh Dear- I am all for new experiences -----but........
This was booked in all good faith as a romantic break. It without a sense of humour would have been quite simply the worst holiday I have ever had. Please dear reader do not read and believe what is written about the hotel facilities, as mostly although not a lie the reality bears no resemblence. I have just returned from a 9 day trip there and at the time of my stay I write my impression. Firstly, the hotel is placed majestically atop a hill. This hotel in all honesty would does have wonderful views across the surrounding area due to its... more

Not up to scratch
I completely agree with the previous reviewers. We also stayed for the AED 299 package, but if I had paid more than this I would have been annoyed. This hotel might have potential, but at the moment it is nowhere near the standards people have come to expect from high-end hotels in the UAE. The pool is not finished, the staff badly need training in the art of letting guests eat in peace, the buffet food is very average particularly compared to the excellent buffets in other hotels in UAE and the hotel does not do the little... more

Greetings from Nagarajan. At the outset we sincerely appreciate Tripadvisor.com for being a great source of feedback which we normally keep track of in our own interest. We do analyse the various feedback on this site and do the needful in our endeavour to improve. We did start our hotel fully operational on June 1, 2006. Subsequently in the first week of August 2006, two of our facilities especially the Outdoor Pool and the Men's Hydropool developed some snags which had to be shut down immediately to carry out the rectification. We are glad to inform that the work at Hydropool is complete and is back in operation. The outdoor pool will take approximately one more month. not finished!!
We arrived only to find the hotel almost empty, we soon realised why in the morning. It was basically a building site! There wasnt even water in the outdoor pool althogh with the view of JCB diggers and rubble beside it even if it had it really wouldnt have appealed, We left that day.

Poorly planed, distasteful hotel.
This place is really the worst 5 star hotel I hv ever seen. Dont get fooled by their website. Everything is poorly planed and nothing is functioning properly. There are no disco or poolbar as written on the website. And during our stay, the outdoor pool, to our dismay, is under maintainance!!! In my opinion, this hotel has nothing 5 star about it other than the price: AED1200 for a standard room. We booked our room through their latest promotion: AED299 for Bed & Breakfast. Yet we still think its a waste of money for this lousy...

One of our main motives to open the hotel in middle of very low season of Summer in UAE was to put our facilities and systems into practice so that teething issues if any develope shall be sorted out well in time for the season. While we look at staff training as a contnuous process of development, the facilities especially were our concern. Apart from the exisiting facilities the hotsprings located within the premises is under extensive rennovation. The additional facilities at this natural springs when launched in November 06, will include Private Hotsprings Pools, Family Treatment rooms, Ayurveda, Wellness store and a healthfood cafe. We are also currently developing various indoor and outdoor activities to keep the guests busy while staying with us in serene and quite ambience of Khatt Springs.
