Viceroy Bali

Stayed in a Vice regal Villa. Srevice was very good. Owners were most hepfull. margaret and her son, from Sydney I believe. Beautiful property, amazing location, total privacy, entertaining characters at nye dinner, sooo much fun. Nothing the staff would not do to acomodate any whim. however would have expected wifi and up to date top of the line audio visual gear for the price bracket. room service was a bit sloppy considering top prices charged. $US20 for a sliced banana. My wife and I just returned from our honeymoon in Indonesia. We have spent four nights in the Viceroy. I was a bit sceptic due the tripadvisor comment on the manipulation of the reviews. Anyway, we booked it and did not regret it. This hotel is fantastic. We had the chance to be upgraded to one of the Viceroy Villa because ours had a problem. We stayed at the Viceroy after getting an amazing secret deal on wotif.com. The garden suite was beautiful. Amazing view into the valley from the day bed. The suite was spacious, clean and well maintained. Apart from the cold plunge pool, we did not want to leave. Perfect for the romantic getaway or honeymoon. Fantastic service and the day spa massage was the perfect way to cap off our trip.

My husband and I stayed at the Viceroy for our honeymoon. We purchased the package on Luxurylink.com and it was the BEST deal. The resort is pure heaven... amazing staff, gorgeous views, great location (near the main part of town but not in the middle of it), and fantastic accomodations. Just returned from a 5 night stay with three girlfriends at the Viceroy. We each flew in from different parts of the world to catch up, relax, eat and be pampered with spa treatments. From the moment we all arrived, we knew this hotel was going to be special. My husband and I just came back from a week in Bali, and our stay in the Viceroy was terrific. The hotel is in a beautiful area. The floor plan of the villa provided a spectacular view of the mountains. The staff was courteous and friendly; the service was impeccable; and the rooms were private and very much a natural part of the landscape, making you feel a part of nature. My husband and I just return fom Bali where we spent 6 nights at the Rtiz Carlton (see review) then 6 nights at The Viceroy. We got a great deal on Luxury Link and our expectations were exceeded. The viilas are fabulous and the service is top notch - the owner (an Australian orginally from Austria) and his son (the General Manager) have a very visible presence and are extremely willing to make your visit special. The Viceroy Hotel in Ubud is unbelievable. We stayed in a Terrace Villa with our own infinity pool that looked across a beautiful valley. Although it wasn't our honeymoon, we felt like it was! The room (massive), service, food, staff, atmosphere were all wonderful. We stayed here because of a positive review we read on this site. The reviewing couple was right. If you are looking for a romantic hotel where you will enjoy absolute privacy and the very best of everything - this is the hotel. Can't recommend it highly enough.
