Lovely place tostay

We stayed for four nights here and there is nothing we could fault! As soon as we arrived we were treated with respect and humour. Our room was lovely with a beautiful sea view. Anything we required was always given with a smile and was never too much trouble. We would certainly return to this hotel again.

I could'nt believe my luck when my friend Brenda stumbled upon this wonderfull little hotel. The friendliest staff, excellent food, superb entertainment and all owed to Martin and Vivienne Steel who make this hotel everything it is. Five stars are not enough! at least Ten required here. we decided to have a break in blackpool the hotel we normally stay at was full [it normally is] i perused the internet and came across the belgrave madison, the landlady was nice and cheerful, but her husband was very miserable, and never spoke to anyone in the hotel, it says on the sign outside that its a 2 star AA, there is no way that this is a 2 star, it might have been with previous owners, the staff were very good and friendly and also very helpful but ,,,, the food was aweful cheap and tasteless, [minced beef and...

We are concerned about this review, ' the landlady' runs the hotel, her husband (myself) doesn't work in the hotel, so not sure how I am supposed to have upset these guests. When mince and dumplings are on the menu, there are alternatives of tagliatelli carbonara, or 3 types of summer salad. More worryingly was the comment that the rooms were not clean, they are spotless! We have just had our AA inspection, and specific mention was made of this fact along with an increase in our quality rating from the previous year - we don't mention any previous owners (we have been here 18 months) so wonder why this post does - we are concerned that the comments are deliberately intended to be harmful, they are certainly inaccurate.

We have just returned from spending a weekend at the Belgrave Madison. From the moment we arrived until we left we were made to feel welcome. We found the hotel to be clean, food very good and well presented and the staff friendly and helpful. This was our first stay at the Belgrave Madison but now that we have found this gem of a hotel I'm sure it will not be our last. Pat & Rob Jones

have just returned home to northern ireland after a tiring weekend in blackpool!! we stayed at the belgrave madison hotel, we had a fantastic time, the staff was friendly, the rooms spotless the food was great, the owners of the hotel viviene and martin well what can i say!! fantastic people they made us feel so welcome they go out of there way to make you feel at home, i would recomend the belgrave madison to any person wanting to go to blackpool for a holiday, cant wait till next year!!

My mother stayed at the Belgrave Madison hotel and she thought it was supurb. Vivian and Martin Steel were very attentive to her needs. The only down side to it was some of the staffs attitudes. She told me that she nicely told one of the bedroom staff about a problem with her room, then she over heard them being very rude about it. She was going back to her room when 3 of the staff came out of a bedroom with smoke trailing after them. They are very nice people when you talk to them but they are very hurtful about each other. Disgusting Room

I have just returned from staying at the Belgrave Madison. When I opened the door to our room I was stunned - the room was awful! It was a small room, with two single beds which, when you opened the bathroom door it bashed against the two beds. The room was in dire need of redecoration - dirty paintwork, wallpaper peeling off underneath the dado rail, and the smell coming from the bathroom was disgusting - it smelt of stale urine! I have stayed at the Belgrave Madison on a many occasions during August and September 2005 and cannot only give the highest praise for the warm and friendly hospitality offered at this wonderful Hotel. I can only summise that the negative review given by the people from Birmingham was based on some "hidden agenda" and not actually a serious review at all. We have just returned from a weekend at the Belgrave Madison, and think that Birmingham must have been staying at a different hotel, our room was clean and very comfortable. The entertainment was brilliant and breakfast unlimited! Just ask Sam in the dining room, she will get you anything, she is a gem. We have already booked again.

Our room in this hotel was disgusting the toilet bin was not emptied from the previous people in our room,the bed was covered in stains,there were what looked like dog hairs all over the floor.A bracket was hanging off the wall in the toilet .There were stains of either blood or vomit on the wall of the bedroom all that for £30 a night what a rip off.
