Sofia Pension is one of the most comfortable and homey places I have ever stayed in my travels around the world. If you are looking for a clean place to rest your head and a family that will welcome you with open arms, stay here. I extended my trip by an extra day because the hotel was so wonderful! I recently stayed at Pension Sofia during my five-week trip to Greece. I phoned ahead and received a very good price, due to it being off-season (mid-October). Manuel, the owner, met the ferry, even though it was well after midnight! The hotel was about two blocks from the ocean, and several blocks from the ferry dock. The neighborhood is safe and well-lit in the evening. The owners, Manuel and Sofia, who live on-site, were very gracious and pleasant. My wife Jenny and I booked our holiday in the Greece Islands of Paros. We intended to go firstly to Paros and then "island hop". We arrived in Athens called the hotel (that we had booked on the internet) . We were met at Paros port by Manoli and taken to the hotel. I stayed at Pension Sofia both in September and October of this year (in between my visits I made it to Mykonos and Tinos). This place was by far the best place to stay of any other in Greece, and my favourite place to stay during my 7 week long trip through Europe. Manolis and Sofia are nice helpfull people. The pension gives good value for money. Beautifull garden. Quiet environment. Only a short way to centre of Parikia.

I spent 5 nights in this lovely place, in the middle of October, which was during the very low season. I found this pension through Tripadvisor.com, all comments were emphasizing the friendliness of the owners, Sofia and Manolis. Due to the low season, I got a very attractive rate. Despite our arriving in the dark without a reservation, in a drizzle, we knocked on the door and were lucky to be given a very clean and efficient room. The rate was so reasonable- this was middle October, thus the good rate and space? Manoli was delightful. The room had everything we needed. Unfortunately the next day was windy, cool and wet. We stayed at Sofia Pension in early October. The rooms were spotless and the grounds were beautiful. It was also very quiet. The owners were the nicest people we met in Greece. Having breakfast in the garden was a great way to start the day. It was the first island we visited and really set the tone for a great trip.

Small, clean, friendly hotel. No pool, but has a garden area instead that you can have your breakfast in. One block from the water.

I just returned from a trip to Greece and spent one night at Sofia Pension in Paros. Sofia is located just outside (5 minute walk) the quaint little town of Parikia. Our room was small, but very clean, comfortable bed, balcony w/ sea view and a deck in front w/ a view of the rolling hills. Sofia and her husband are great hosts and you can see all the hardwork they put into the Pension. Wonderful Stay!!
