Albergo Napolit'amo

We stayed here in July 2007 (sorry we have been slack in writing this review). We spent one night here on our way from Rome on our way to Capri. After a scary taxi ride from the train station we were dropped off about 20 meters from the hotel. We actually found it hard to find and asked a local police officer who also appeared confused as were to find the hotel. The hotel is located in a very central part of the city and I was blessed with panoramic views from my balcony. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom was impeccably clean. The staff was professional but friendly and the breakfast abundant. Free and easy use of the internet was another asset. I can only recommend Napolit'amo.

Right in the centre of Naples, you can watch the madness of the city from the balcony of this extremely friendly and clean hotel. I often go to Naples and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else(except when they're fully booked and I have no choice). Very reasonably priced too - which is a bonus.

Despite having an email confirmation for a superior room (with balcony) from the hotel itself, we were shown on arrival to a minute room with a lovely view of the cement mixer and building supplies in the courtyard. Staff, with the notable exception of Janet who deserves a special mention, seemed frankly disinterested and one sulked for the remainder of our stay. We booked three nights but could stand only two. The room is of a good size, but the air-conditioning doesn’t work - which unless you open the windows -makes it too hot to sleep in. And we stayed on October! We tried the first night with the (broken) air-conditioning on and the three layers of shutters and windows closed - and it was too stuffy and hot to sleep. We asked for the air-conditioning to be fixed the next morning but nothing was done. The second night the air-conditioning wasn't fixed so we left the three layers of shutters... more

When I was dropped off by my cab my first thought was this couldn't be right. The entrance is located behind a black, foot-thick steel door. Ring the bell and they will buzz you through. Go up one flight and you're there. The hotel was nice, with clean, bright, large rooms. The bathroom was clean with new fixtures. Staff speak english and are more than happy to help you find your way or answer questions. I recommend the hotel, although I didn't care for Naples.

Situated on the first floor of a working building , the staff were friendly and the rooms clean.The via Toledo is a main shopping street in Naples and is centrally situated to reach many of the main tourist sites by walking. The hotel is located behind large doors and may be difficult to find initially .It is right next door to a baker / cafe ( Augustus I think ). Both Napolit'amo hotels are run by the same people. We stayed here in March 2005 after our original booking was moved from the Centro Turistico, but the price was kept the same. The hotels are very close to one another and only a 5-10 minute walk from the Piazza Municipio (which is where the airport bus drops you). We were lucky enough to get a large corner room with 2 windows. It was clean, the 5ft bed was comfortable but it was sparsely furnished. We stayed here in Nov 2004 for our honeymoon stop in Naples. This is a no frills hotel which suited our needs perfectly. Nice and spacious rooms. The biggest by far out of all the ones we stayed in on our trip all around Italy. Very clean and brand new bathroom. No 5star amenities just a very clean room with a nice warm bed. Very convenient, right in the center of town in a very lively neighborhood. If you are on a budget, this is your best bet.
