Crimdon Dene Hotel

I come down to Devon once a year and would not stay anywhere else.The food is excellent, breakfast is unmissable, and the price is exceptional.John and Margaret's hotel is like a second home.I look forward to my stay next year.

I have stayed here many times and every year it gets better and better.Margaret and John are superb hosts and will go above and beyond any expectations of the usual"run of the mill" bed and breakfasts. I travel from the US to visit family every year and we would never consider staying anywhere else.I have even brought American friends with me to sample the guest service par excellence, we have never been disappointed.

Well as it says the hotel is close to amenities, only one of the big hotels on the front may be better. Hospitality is excellent, nice couple look after your needs, good english breakfast,licenced bar. Rooms are clean and reasonable size considering you only sleep there!

This place is well worth checking out! From the moment you step through the front door you immediately feel the warmth and cosiness of the environment. You're greeted by this friendly person who reminds you of your favourite next door neighbour and you instantly feel at home. No chance of an Ozzie getting homesick in this environment. We stayed here for 8 days in april , it was the first time we used this hotel and was amazed with the great reception we received when we got there, you could not ask for a more friendly couple. The hotel itself was great we had stayed a couple of times before down the same road in other hotels but none of them come close to this, the Crimdon Dene is by far cleaner than the others we have stayed at and the rooms are very well maintained to a high standard in our opinion. For a small hotel/guest house, the Crimdon Dene represents excellent value. We have used this hotel the last three times that we have visited Torquay. We have always visited out of season, in November, and it is great to return to a hotel which is warm, plentiful hot water, and great food, after a day on Dartmoor, or Slapton Sands, or Dawlish Warren. I enjoyed staying in Crimdon Dene with hospitable Margaret and John. I felt like staying at home. The room is spacious, clean, warm, quite and with all facilities I need. Plenty information about Torquay can be found in the lounge. Breakfast was full of choice and nice cooked by John. The whole experience in Crimdon Dene was my best so far. crimdondene hotel....toquay....devon....england...........very nice hotel....very clean........great food......five mins from beach........boat trips around the harbour and across the bay...........railway station just ten mins away.....graet bus service too!......a leisure centre close by.....a model village and bygones not to be missed!.........shops nearby......we have stayed there many times.....and we are going back again this summer.....who needs to go abroad when you have all this....the hosts were very friendly and also very helpful... more

I travel alot to torquay and stay in many guest houses and I have to say this is by far the '' BEST'' i've stayed in. John and Margaret are wonderful hosts and can't do enough to help in anyway possible. The food is great and as for the breakfasts well what better way to start your day. Have already rebooked to take my wife and children back and have recommended to many of my friends. Excellent position and a short walking distance to the confrence centre.
