Stretton Hotel

The hotel is great and we have never experienced such incredible service before. It was so lovely matthew and staff could not do enough for you i went with my husband and mother inlaw she had a great time as did we the rooms are so clean i have stayed in a lot of hotels in blackpool over the years and this is one is the best the dinner at the hotel is the best for the money you pay .hotel has a wheelchair we asked where we could hire one and matthew let us use the one he had saved us money thanks very much matthew and your staff hope to see... more

Myself and 5 friends had a fab weekend in Blackpool back in April and stayed at the Stretton Hotel. From the moment we arrived at the Stretton, we new we'd made the right choice for accomodation. Its in a great seafront location, extremely good value for money. The Hotel Manager, Matthew really does make sure everything is as it should be including the excellent standard of rooms. This was a perfectly OK and very reasonably priced hotel for Blackpool; not nearly as offputting as some hotels on offer here, clean, well organised with an OK breakfast and a good powerful shower; fairly quiet considering it is right on the sea front, and the decor not too horrible! Plenty of tea and coffee and biscuits in the room and a proper hairdryer. I would have liked at least a sachet of shampoo, though, as all there was on offer was two teeny tiny bars of soap! I stayed at this 'hotel' for 2 nights from October 24th. We stayed at the hotel through a local bus trip. I have stayed in Blackpool lots of times in basic and upper range levels of accomodation but this place was awful!!!!! We were greated on entering the hotel by piles of rubble, plus receptionists who didnt have a clue about who was staying in which room. Stayed at the Stretton this summer for the 2nd time. Had a lovely weekend away. A 5 minute stroll away from the bars and clubs but about a 45 minute stroll to the pleasure beach. Hotel is clean and staff are very friendly. About 6 parking spaces round the back of the hotel. Will be returning next year for another weekend

great hotel will be going again. i have been to a couple of hotels in blackpool and this one has 12 out off 10 from me, the staff are lovely clean rooms. great place to go if you want no noise. if you want a nice weekend way this is your hotel not many young people not 2 to 3 kids come times had a great weekend with partner thanks stretton

Stayed at the stretton for 5 days, as in the other reviews, the hotel is rather dated now, the foyer and dining room are excellent, the food and the restaurant staff are the re-deeming features of the hotel, well-cooked food,good menu choice and excellent waiter service. The rooms are not very good, one guest staying in Room 126 compared it to a broom cupboard and on seeing it, I quite agreed with that comment, the room I was in was clean, but in need of re-decoration, no air-con and the room seemed to be hot even with the window open... more

Stayed here 5 days in July when weather was very hot so air con. would have been great. But this is a dated hotel and could do with a bit of a re vamp. Only other complaint was that the en-suite in the room did not have a shower although we were told that some of the rooms do have them. We were just unfortunate to get there a bit later as those rooms had been given out.. Apart from that the rooms were v.clean and had plenty of wardrobe space for myself, husband and 2 young girls. I can't say enough about the wonderful experience of staying at this hotel. What is lacking in the condition of the rooms is more than made up for by the kind and caring staff. Our room was extremely small and they very accomodating in offering us another room. (All the rooms are pretty small). The light in the bathroom didn't work but they fixed it. The breakfast was wonderful. The sunroom was lovely. You can't beat the location. I would go there again!
