White House Beach Resort & Spa

I stayed in this hotel for a month and the only word I can say is : GREAT !!! Everything was perfect. And the staff was so nice ! The room was clean, and the food was really good. I felt so relaxed....My stay was wonderful. By the way, the hotel's driver picked me up at the airport and brought me to the hotel... It was really convenient. They also have many other services. I will go back to the White House next time for sure !

The white house is located on the very beautiful cheong mon beach. The hotel is in my opinion a three star. The rooms on the lower floor are sold as superior rooms but are all single beds. We moved upstairs to the `deluxe` room. Nice size room with bouble bed dated furniture, small ensuite with a corner bath. The restaurant was rarely busy often more staff then paying customers. The reason being it is twice as expensive and not as nice as other restaurants on the beach.Personally i think this hotel is perfect from families but not... more

Staying at the White house was a good experience as we were very well looked after however Koh Samui was much more commercialised than we had expected and Chaweng beach was a little crowded. Lamai was a lovely beach but behind the trees there were a lot of seedy noisy bars and the place lost its appeal very quickly. Chong Moen beach was lovely and not crowded but our favourite was little Coral cove between Chaweng and Lamai which had good snorkelling and clean sand. This was our first trip to Thailand and the first time we booked online. Reading all the reviews about the hotels online certainly helped us. The White House had what we were looking for in a hotel and we were certainly not disappointed. The decor and gardens of the hotel are very authentic and we really felt we were in Thailand and not in any run of the mill, westernised hotel. Hi, We stayed here for almost 8 days, rooms were absolutely great and hotel service could not be any better. Thailand has one of the greatest attitudes towards it's tourits, people are very friendly. Having read some of the reviews in this column we approached our visit to the White House with some trepidation. But we need not have worried. Yes, some of the decor is a little tatty but this was more than made up for by the superb, friendly staff, the excellent location and the atmosphere of complete relaxation. Apart from one chaotic 'Polynesian evening' evverything worked fine - but, a tip: the restauratn next door (on the right facing the sea) serves better food at half the price. We hated this hotel. When we got there after spending two days in Bangkok and having various problems with flights and taxis all we wanted was a nice relaxing place to unwind - we did not find this at the Whitehouse. The furniture was shabby and the whole place could do with a good clean. Our room was ok (for the amount we paid we were looking for more than ok) and the bathroom was horrible - more like a cupboard. We recently spent 10 days at this delightful Hotel. The chalets are set in the most amazing gardens where plants appear to be double their normal size. The rooms were more than adequate,the service pleasant and friendly and the beach a stone throw away. We had our evening meals,barefoot on the beach at tables lit by candle light. Each day we had fruit and tea brought to our room in a quaint litle basket.The ideal place to come for a family holiday with a safe beach and pool. This hotel is a hidden gem that more people should visit. We were excellently treated at arrival with cocktails and our room was beautifully prepared for a couple on their second honeymoon. Beautiful rooms and garden, top class restaurant (one of the best on Koh Samui!!!), excellent service, friendly staff, clean and tidy. The white house is situated to the north of Chewang beach, at Choengmon Beacha a quieter beach which is lovely with only a hand full of hotels, and beach cafes. you can also get a lift in a pick up type vehicle for less than £1.50 for 2 into the centre of Chewang. Chaweng has a very nice nightlife and a lot of nice shops and stores.
