Sativa Sanur Cottages

My teenage daughter and I had a wonderful stay for 9 nights in september. Although we were the only British surrounded by demanding Austrailians this did not deter the staff who ensured all guest were happy with a smile. The hotel is in a great location surrounded by enough shops and restauranst to keep me happy ! The beach life is very lively with a great atmosphere, would recommend Sanur as a great resort for those who do not want the full on experience of Kuta. We stayed here for 4 nights in Sep 09. Hotel was full. Sanur is a great place to stay and Sativa Cottages is a very good choice for many reasons. Very affordable, great value for money, good position close to many very good restaurants, plenty of shopping opportunities, large rooms. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly and quick to respond to requests. Our room was on the ground floor and was comfortable. A large patio with table and chairs and clothes airer. stayed 6 nights wasn't impressed just a very ordinary hotel rooms OK not enough loungers for the guests but my main gripe is that the pool wasn't clear and felt slimy underfoot didn't seem to bother the other guests this hotel could have been better but overall felt shabby much better choices for the money ( my last post was removed would love to know why )

Partner and I were needing a restful and relaxing holiday without too much haggling. Loved the Sativa, located right around the corner from the beach, and great variety of restaurants. Rooms were clean and roomy, had our own private balcony which was great for late afternoon drinks. Staff always friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was fresh and nice variety every morning. Spent a week here in June 2009. The hotel was last minute sub from Griya Santrian and am so glad it was! The hotel is hidden down a little tree lined passage and was a gem! It was very intimate and peaceful and had the feel of somewhere where you werent just another booking. The hotel itself is a beautiful mix of cottages and one main building with the restaurant and reception. Hotel consists of a number of two storey ‘cottages’ located around a semicircular pool in an attractive garden. The rooms are plainly furnished and appear ‘tired’, especially the bathroom. The rooms are en-suite and air conditioned, with a small but very effective fridge and a small television (I couldn’t find any English language programming). We travel to Bali for Business every 10-12 weeks, we decided to go to Sanur for a couple of days break, we stayed at Sativa Sanur Cottages and loved it! Lovely rooms, great pool area, very clean Hotel with lovely staff. WE WILL DEFINATLEY STAY THERE AGAIN.

We stayed in this hotel for five nights over New Year’s. It was highly recommended to us by friends who stayed there during their visit to Bali. There was no in room safe but reception provided safety deposit boxes. We were just off the pool area, so that we could walk from our patio to the pool for a swim and back. The bathroom was large with a huge tub. Lots of hot water in the sink and shower. Breakfast was held in the outdoor restaurant near the pool area, a couple of seconds from our room. Just got home from two nice weeks at Bali. It was our first visit to Bali and we enjoyed our staying in this beautiful part of Indonesia. Altought it was a bit sad to see the lack of tourists, many restaurants were almost empty night after night even though it was high season.
