Tamukami Hotel

Thanks to the other reviewers..I spent a long time making this choice and I should have just selected it immediately. Stayed 3 nights,loved the food and service. The pool and gardens are wonderfull...if you not sure just book it, you cannot go wrong. We had a late night flight and they let us "hang around" after we checked out (noon)using the services and we ate there again as we felt so relaxed. This place is ideal for couples. Stayed in Superior room for 3 days. Chose the hotel because of reviews in tripadvisor. quite disappointed because the room was spacious but the bed quality and aircond is way under par. the king size bed was actually 2 single beds joined. to make matters worse, one of the bed is harder and another softer. i could not have quality time with my spouse, practically we had to sleep in 'different' bed. the air cond is old and takes long time to cool the room. could not get quality sleep the 3 days there. the staff is great, no... more

We stayed at the Tamukami for two nights at the end of our trip to Bali. Everything was perfect, from the hospitable welcome drink to the efficiency and friendliness of the staff. We arranged to do a tour with a member of the hotel staff who was friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable. The highlight of our stay was our dinner at Alise's restaurant complete with live music - there was a great family atmosphere and the hotel owners were very attentive and friendly. We will definitely come back to this hotel next time we are in Bali.

I just came back from a 3 day stay in Bali. I chose Tamukami, Sanur after reading all reviews in Tripadvisor. I thought I better write a review and share my experience. First of all a big thanks to all previous reviewers. I could not have stayed in a better place in Sanur than Tamukami. Its literally a paradise in Sanur. I stayed in a Superior room. Booked this hotel with Agoda for the bargain price of £22 per night including breakfast. Being a bit of a beach bum, I like my beachfront hotels so was a little wary of booking this hotel which is on the main road Jalan Danau Tamblingan. However, what a find! For half the price of beachfront hotels, you get a lovely large, clean, modern room in this little oasis in Sanur. The main entrance is opposite La Taverna Hotel, down a little driveway. We booked to stay here after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor. I was a little unsure, but I'm so glad I went ahead and booked. We stayed in one of the suites for $70 per night including breakfast. The room was a great size. It had the biggest bed I have ever seen! It was cleaned every day and was spottless. The staff were very helpful and professional. The restaurant is also great. We have been regular travellers to Bali for the past 14 years and have stayed at various hotels but to find the Tamukami was the jewel in the crown. The excellent services and exceptional friendliness was outstanding. We stayed in a bungalow and the size was very comfortable. Each morning after breakfast on our return to the room our room had been cleaned and refreshed. This was always at a very high standard. It is also good to know that the tourists dollar stays in Bali. It is without a doubt a true treasure in Sanur! Highly recommended!

Just returned from a second honeymoon at this beautyful hotel, an oasis of harmony in the busy Bali, Sanur. At walking distance from the beach, you still are tempted to stay inside the premises. The restaurant is top quality, we saw people not staying at the hotel coming back to it several times, no burnt BBQ like you often get at the beach. The staff are friendly and you can talk to them unlike at the big chain hotels. The owners are a Belgian couple and they add that touch of perfection to the local culture. Highly recommended.

We had five nights at this small but charming hotel with a lovely central pool and had a fantastic stay. This was our second visit to the hotel having staying a few years ago in a standard room upstairs. This time we stayed in a Bungalow room over looking the pool with a small patio to sit on and take in the well tended gardens. The room and bathroom were a good size and very clean with good air con. Spent 2 nights at the Tamukami in Sept. 2004. The small attractive property is located back away from the main road. Rooms are large, modern and clean. Rooms even have TV, which can be rare in smaller Bali hotels. Excellent restaurant with nightclub acts too. Plenty of shops & restaurants nearby. Great massage place across the street down a couple of blocks. Sanur is a much smaller version of Kuta, but more upscale & much quieter. Good base to visit southern Bali & Ubud.
