What a dive!!
This hotel was a dive. The outside of the hotel is very nice, however that is where it ends. I should have left as soon as I walked in but I paid for the room in advance. I could not tell where the front desk was upon entry. The front desk was next to the small store and I thought the desks were for the store. The store did have reasonable prices for bottled water though. Upon receiving the room key, there was noone to assist with our bags. Walking down the hall to the room, the carpet was stained in many places. I opened the door to... more

Horrible
Our company had a trip in Aruba. On our date of leaving, USAIR was unable to fly us out due to mechinical problems. USAIR put us at the Brickell Bay Hotel for the night. It was horrible! The room smelled of mold, the air condition did not work, we had no running water (toilet could not flush), we had sewer from the above floor dripping into our tub, there was hair in our tub and BUGS everywhere. I can not imagine ever having to pay for this. I just could not stay there and ended up across the street at the Hyatt hotel for... more
thumbs down
The outside of the hotel is beautiful, but the inside was just an ordinary $30/night dump. i can't believe how much i spent on this hotel. I ended up spending my time across the street at the Allegro resort. The entire time i was there, they were doing loud construction in and around the lobby. The one good thing about this hotel was the staff that clean the rooms. they were great and very friendly. if you are thinking about staying here, reconsider! And ALWAYS bring your own pillow case whenever traveling!
great time
stayed at brickell bay hotel. clean room great shower, nice poiol great location. hotel was like a motel 6 walk to beach across from the allegra hotel we used the raddison pool and beach as wellas the holiday inn.if you go to the beach attendants with a $10. bill they will get you beach chairs towels and treat you like a king. henri the desk manager at brickell bay is a business man i missed the carnival because of him. he saidthat public transportation was not running and the only way to get there was by taxi and the cost was $20... more
Inexpensive & convient
We stayed at the Brickell Bay for 11 nights in September - had a wonderful time - there are lots of choices for food around the hotel, the pool is beautiful - I really can't say anything bad about the place!! They were even in the middle of a remodel when we were there - but nothing was inconvient. Just remember, this is a "super8," type of hotel - no balconies, no room service, just a basic hotel room - was only a block from the beach & they do provide beach chairs & beach towels - just ask at the front desk.
Decent resort
Just returned from the Brickell Bay Beach Resort and thought it was your average everyday hotel. It is a great budget hotel with everything you need. They have a very nice pool and it is close to everything. This was the perfect hotel for a budget vacation.
Awful
We stayed here from Dec 30 to Jan 4 2005. We knew it wasn't a very fancy hotel because of the cost and during the holiday season it was about all you could get. Well, the rooms were so dirty, musty, mildew and I never ever saw a vacume cleaner! I watched them with a broom. Had to ask 2 times a day for towels and they were always short. Some of the staff were nice but some were awful. Didn't want to give us coffee everyday for the coffee maker. In the entire room there was only 2 electrical plugs in which were the TV, Coffee maker, Clock and... more
Brickel Bay Beach Club
My sister and I traveled to Aruba for the second time this year and were dissapointed by the site that we stayed! The light fixtures in the room were so rusted, it was hard to turn them off, A/C was very insufficent(had to sleep with the windows open), the room smelled of mold and mildew and was very damp the whole stay. On top of everything esle, towels were scarce for the room and the beach and housekeeping was not good. There were no outlets in the bathroom and had to go to the front desk for a hair dryer! We were told it was against... more
We had a great vacation!!!
My husband and I stayed at the Brickell Bay Dec. 4th - Dec. 11th. We knew going to Aruba that the Brickell Bay was not a five star resort so our expectations were not set high. We chose the hotel because of cost. The hotel is just your average hotel. It has a very nice pool and the rooms are just what we needed for sleeping and showering. We are in Aruba so why would we want to spend all the time in the hotel room anyhow? The hotel was not crowded like the other resorts on the beach, which was nice, so it was very quiet. The staff was... more
