Crowne Plaza Resort Sharm El Sheikh

Upon check-in into the room, found that there was no hotel information booklet, hotel map, or room service menu. Called the front desk on 4 occasions and ended up going to the front desk three times to obtain one. One the third trip, I wanted to order room service from the menu. The manager finally got me one, but when I started to return to my room with it was quickly stopped and told not to take it. If I wanted to order from it I could, but would have to so from the lobby and not from our room. Also, had to wait for an hour and a half for a bucket of ice. After a four-day stay, we and 5 other friends never did receive a room service menu. However, when we did receive our food in the room it was great. The breakfast buffet falls short of a bad dream. We went and got the coffee and poured it ourselves, after waiting forever for service, and cleaned our own tables before we could find a place to sit.
When we checked out of the rooms, we were told to leave our bags outside of our doors and they would promptly be brought to front. 3 hours after we checked out, I wanted to change my clothes and asked for the bags. They were not at the front, so I asked if they knew where they were. They asked me for my room number and asked me if I had asked for them to be picked up. After I told them yes, three hours ago, they said they didn’t have them. So I walked down to my room and there they were, still sitting outside of the room. I carried them to the front and kept them with me until we left.
It is truly a five star hotel, but with 2 star service! From the managers on down to the bus boys, this hotel does not know the meaning of service.
We will never recommend this hotel to friends or family.
