Premier Inn Edinburgh City Centre (Haymarket)

Myself and seven of my friends went to Edinburgh for my Hen weekend from 19-21 Oct 2007. This hotel was ideal, it is ten minutes from Princess Street for all the main shops and pubs. I booked four twin rooms and every room had a double bed and a single bed in it. The buffet breakfast it fantastic, everything you could think of and you can go up as many times as you want. Very comfortable & pleasant stay. Centrally located, breakfast very nice & included some nice vegeterian options. The staff were very pleasant especially the receptionists. Keep it up!!

Located just a short walk from the train station, the Premier Inn was an good choice. They had a phone in the lobby dedicated to a cab company that would come quickly. Rooms were nice and affordable.

We stay at hotels in the Premier Travel Inn group a lot, and this is definitely the best we have stayed in. The rooms are certainly the most comfortable of the ones we have used, and the location is very central, about a 10 minute walk to the old town. I was in a room on my own, and the receptionist who checked me in was discreet and only showed me the room number on the card so that people couldn't overhear. Nothing amazing to write home about but this hotel was clean and central and good value for money! The room was huge though it seemed a bit too big and was somehow lacking in furniture even though there was a double bed, two bedside cabinets, a few drawers, desk, and wardrobe. The Travel Inn is a no frills type of hotel. The rooms are clean with a decent contemporary decor. Considering the cost of the other hotels in Edinburgh, the Travel Inn chain is a bargain. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to Princess Street and the historic area. My biggest complaint is that the parking is limited, and if you can not get the limited on site parking, you have to pay for parking in the lot across the street, which does not seem as safe and secure.
