Really friendly and entertaining.
from sarahhat
My extended family and I have stayed at this hotel twice and will definately go back again. Our son and nephew really enjoyed the games room, hot tub and pool (although the latter is outside it was heated and was pleasant event in October). When it was raining, the activities available at the hotel made all the difference. When it was sunny the private path down to the beach was delightful. The staff are very friendly and were very helpful with the older members of our party. They also provided us with the range of rooms we needed...

Just about OK
from steve170461
We stayed there for 2 nights over New Year. We were given room 6 which has a great view over the North Beach. Unfortunately the room had single beds which were OK but not overly comfortable. The bathroom was fine, although it had a shower only, but it did appear to have been recently re-furbished. The main problem however was the heating. The room had 2 ancient electric flat radiators which were just about capable of keeping the room semi-warm, however the heating was switched off by timers despite the temperature outside being...

Excellent short break
from mimosanow
We took our Norwegian friends to the Fourcroft Hotel on their first visit to Wales and they were very impressed. The staff were really welcoming, the food was great and the bedrooms comfortable, spotlessly clean and well-equipped. Thoroughly recommended.
One to be recommended.

Stayed for 2 nights (DBB) at this hotel on an Autumn Break in October. We had a sea view which overlooked the bay, the room was very clean and comfortable with white bed linen and towels. The food was beautifuuly cooked and the service was excellent. Every member of staff was polite, friendly and eager to help. I would certainly recommend this hotel.
Noisy!
from Nico2008
Ive stayed at the Fourcroft twice. On both occasions it was very noisy at night - from people in next door rooms with blaring TVs and talking until gone 4am. - Soundproofing between bedrooms is very poor - you can hear everything! Doors also tend to bang loudly when shutting - not great through the night! The second occasion I was kept awake from midnight until nearly 5am by a hen party group screaming and jumping around in rooms above me. Action from night staff was slow and ineffective. I complained to reception again when paying my...

Management response from EmrysL
Would have been helpful if you had voiced your complaints to us at the time of your stays, rather than six months after your last stay. We might have been able to do something about your concerns at the time. We are unable to do anything six months after you have left!
I find it quite hurtful that you blame us for stag parties - as an ex-local (really?) you might have done some research with your friends / family who are still here (?) and ascertain the attempts from so many of us to not provide for single sex parties. Easier said than done, however.
How about we give you two nights bed & breakfast for the price of one to show you Fourcroft (& the justification for its high local standing) in its 'normal colours'?

Fourcroft Hotel; a great experience
from lakewoodWa_Bear
The property owner & all of the staff were very helpful, I had a car problem & they went above & beyond to help me.I would certrainly go out of my way to stay there if I'm in the area. The Fourcroft is what a small family owned hotel should be.
Fantastic location
from bluelady_57
What a location - our room looked out over the old harbour & the bay. Breathtaking. And we enjoyed the food, especially the breakfasts. And such a friendly atmosphere. We'll be coming back ....
Overpriced, poor value for money, poor access
from Tukas
Stayed at the Fourcroft for one night last month. The hotel charged £60 ppn bed and breakfast which we believe is far too much for a hotel offering a below average room and an average breakfast..... Room furniture was cheap and cheerful, TV set was at least 20 years old. Bathroom was carpeted and stank of urine and bathroom waste bin had not been emptied. Water pressure in the shower was low. The lift is actually on the 1st floor and you have to climb around 10-12 steps to reach the lift - not easy with a baby and pushchair in tow (also we...
