A Great Place to Relax
Definitely recommended particularly as got very good deal on lastminute.com - £55 B&B. Room was a reasonable size with classy decor. The bed was lower to the ground than I'm used to and I kept stubbing my toe on the wooden feet! However, it was extremely comfortable. Bathroom was stylish, clean & the shower excellent. Basin had loose tap fitting but not a problem. No bath. The breakfast was top notch and the sun was shining! What more could anyone ask for?! Great relaxation.
Wonderful care and attention.
I travelled from Southampton to The Palm Court Hotel for a wedding on 14.3.09. Took unwell on the flight with lung problem. Hotel Manager and Staff were quite wonderful. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, the food excellent and the wedding they organised for my cousins daughter was the best I have ever attended. I hope to return very soon.
loved the palm court
a warm welcome awaits you at the palm court, all the staff were helpful and friendly the rooms decorated to a high standard and very clean. i also had my evening meal there which was lovely the chef also catered for my food intolerances which was a great. i would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a first class stay in the city centre.
Did not enjoy this hotel
Here with my husband on business. His company booked this hotel. Stayed one week. The rooms are small. Made smaller due to the fact we travelled with four bags. No place to store them. One little wardrobe with 6 hangers, no drawers. Room is really too cramped for two people. May be fine for one business traveller. The room was extremely loud. (room 4) Every morning between 2am-3am we were awakened by a delivery truck (loud engine, loud workers, slamming doors) Just as we dozzed off again, around4am-5am, another delivery truck!!... more
Overpriced, pokey and noisy
Stayed here on business, checked in at around 2.00pm and was given a keycard to a room which hadn't been made up and still reeked of the previous occupant's pizza from the night before. Went off to see some clients with promises of the room being ready when we returned. Room was ready but though very well equipped (flatscreen telly, computer,, great bathroom, nice towels etc) it was very pokey. My husband and I couldn't pass each other in front of the bed as there was no room. It also overlooked the bins and kitchen at the back and a... more
Best Place Ever
I had my wedding reception, night before the wedding and night of wedding at the Palm Court in September 2007. It has to be the best place in Aberdeen to have your reception and for overnight accommodation it was by far one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. Very much a recommended venue. Staff in this hotel are by far the best staff any hotel could ask for especially Charleen, Graham and Scott our wedding assistants and Nikki think she was the assistant manager. Not forgetting the bar staff who had one very busy weekend in... more
Good value stay at weekends
The rooms are not large but they are clean and modern. The bathroom was spacious however. The hotel has recently been refurbished and the public areas are smart in appearance. Breakfast was freshly cooked and there was plenty of choice. The location is away from the centre but Aberdeen is not a large city and this did not pose a problem. The hotel was located quite near to the ring road and would not be difficult to locate by someone arriving in the city by car. The special weekend rate made this an attractive option.
Palm Court Hotel
The Palm Court Hotel has recently been revamped. Although there are still a few teething troubles, we couldn't fault the service we received. We had been staying there for a wedding and we have to say they made us more welcome than our own family. The bedrooms are well appointed with very modern furnishings. The en-suit bathrooms has all you could want. We had a walk in shower and a constant supply of hot water. Other rooms had bath + shower or a wet room. Slate flooring in the bathroom complemented the deep pile carpet in the... more
Misunderstood
This place is superb!! It gives the visitor a little flavour of Aberdeen. For the more pompus amongst you...............go elsewhere.
full of yobs - avoid this place
We had a potential meal at the Palm Court ruined by some terrible wild and yobbish behaviour by patrons at the bar. The lager-louts put off dozens of diners, and yet were completely condoned by the management, as apparently "they are regulars". If you want a respectable quiet meal, avoid if this place.
Smokers Haven
Extremely disappointed at the lack of non-smoking facilities within the bar area of this hotel. There seems little interest in providing decent areas for non-smokers and it is so unhealthy to spend time in this bar.
