Quinta Real Huatulco

Excellent service, rooms, food and location. The suites with private pools are nothing short of world class accommodations. Head and shoulders above the competition in Huatulco.

The Quinta Real Huatulco was a real paradise for us! My boyfriend and I stayed here for one week at the end of July after spending a week in Mexico City (see Calinda Geneve review). After running about in Mexico City, we loved the serene, peaceful atmosphere of both Huatulco and the Quinta Real itself. We just returned from our stay at Quinta Real and I wanted to share our thoughts on the resort. If possible, definitely get one of the suites with the private pools. The main pools don't open (with towel/lounge cushions service, drink service etc) until 10am and those wooden lounge chairs aren't too comfortable without their cushions. Our private pool got sun very early and until about 1pm. We spent most of our time there because it was so peaceful. We spent a wonderful week in suite 3 at Quinta Real. Perfect view of the bay and king bed. We highly recommend Huatulco as a destination and thanks to Apple, all sorts of activities were readily accessible. Spent a few hours just sitting under the great shade trees in the square at La Crucicita. The Terra Cotta is a wonderful restaurant and ice cream oasis there. Austriaco and Manfred the owner, offer wonderful food and a most entertaining menu.

We have just returned from a week at the Quinta Real Huatulco. The hotel is magnificent - truly incredible views! The spacious and luxurious rooms are some of the best we've ever seen. The front desk, housekeeping, and bell boy service is wonderful. The dining service was slow at times, but picked up during the week. (I think Americans are generally used to must faster service at breakfast than is the custom in Mexico.) This place is perfect for a couple seeking a quiet, secluded, understated getaway. Like some of the previous posters said, it is like a private getaway -- we were sometimes the only couple at the multi-tiered pool, and we were often out of earshot of anyone on the private beach. We visited during President's Day week. The staff is generally understated, polite and attentive. After 6 days, we were in a state of relaxation we'd never reached before... I was just going over pictures from our last trip to Huatulco in December. We stayed for the third time at the Quinta Real. The attached photos sum up the experience. What more do you need than a beautiful beach that seems like your own, excellent service and one of the most relaxing quiet pools you will ever see? The hotel staff is wonderful, the rooms are top notch, (Grand class suites) and the property is private, lush and beautiful! We will definately go back again next year.

For our honeymoon in Sept, we stayed at La Quinta Real at the suggestion of friends who had gone there for the same reason. It was very relaxing and beautifiul, and we would go back, if for some reason we went to Huatulco again (though I doubt will happen). It was a great spot to lounge around and pretend that you're living the lifestyle of the rich and famous. We were there during what I can only describe as the way off season. My husband and I have just returned from an eight day stay at the Quinta Real with our two children, ages 6 and 8. We had an incredible time. . . the rooms were wonderfully decorated, large enough for us all, and the staff (especially at the pool) were quite accomodating. We found the staff at the front desk to be quite professional. It is a pity that this hotel is very badly managed since it has a very good location and in pretty part of the Pacific Mexican Coast. When we arrived, we had to wait 10 minutes to check in (pity the people after us, as they had to wait even longer). When I had finished completing the forms etc, there was only a key for one of my two rooms, "the other will be sent with the bellboy, sir".
