IFA Interclub Atlantic Hotel

A very disappointing resort and hotel-rooms of poor standard, in a terrible state of repair. Constant sewer smells. Room share with cockroaches. Pools unusable-heated pool was switched off during our stay.
Food repetitive, dull and cold - didn't eat after day 3. Entertainment basic (and in foreign language!). A predominantly German clientele, the hotel only seems to cater for them.
Resort very quiet and miles from anywhere.
Beach (dark, rough and dirty) over 150 steps away, takes approx. 20mins to reach (downhill).
Please avoid being bitterly disappointed and go elsewhere.

Overly disappointed by this holiday, standards of accommodation was appalling, apartments were a shambles and the beach is disgusting.
The food was bland and cold and didn’t stay in the body long, the apartments themselves had holes in the carpets, ceilings, and walls. rusted baths and fridges. large cockroaches and ants roamed freely throughout and the problems with drainage meant the apartments stank of sewage.
The distance to the 'sandy beach in easy reach' was a 'mucky beach way outta reach' with 153 steps and 1000's of yards of sidewalk and steep hills, its almost an impossible walk. The heated pool was ice-cold and empty of people throughout the week. Highly recommend people stay well clear of this resort. An almost completely German clientele and nobody interested in British holiday makers.
If you want a holiday with feed back go somewhere else.

Me and a friend went here in May 2005, its predominantly a German clientele with a few brits mixed in. The hotel grounds are huge and you can choose to find a secluded spot on the grass amongst the palm trees in which to sunbathe or lie by the pool in the normal manner.
The food was great and had lots of choice. The entertainment was not geared at the British clients but then the majority of guests are German so I didn’t expect anything else. The entertainment is cabaret style and not what I would enjoy anyway. The upshot is that for 6 euros or less a taxi will get you into the heart of Playa Del Ingles in under 10 minutes. perfect!!
Easy to go into town to party and then come back to a refreshingly remote and quiet hotel where you can recharge, eat like a king and relax away the sunny hours. The only let down is that the rooms are a bit shabby, not dirty, just due a refurbishment, but how much time do you spend in your hotel room when the sun is shining outside!
For the price, this hotel is definitely worth a visit. I will be going back there if ever I decide on Gran Canaria again.
