we arrived at st ritas after traveling for seven hrs to be greeted with a dark and cold entrance when shown our room we was greeted with the most awful decor i have ever seen the room was cold when asked for the heating to be put i was told that they switch it of in summer even though it was pouring down and cold outside but they put it on, the room is nothing like what they show on there site, on a busy road didnt sleep very well that night the traffic was awful would have sleeped better at side of motorway for seventy pound for three off... more
horrible
This hotel was horrible i would never stay here again, from the first moment we walked in the owners were to busy having an argument to notice us. we were then shown to our room which had tacky decore the shower was in the same room, and then were told we had to share a toilet with the rest of the hotel. i think im an open minded person but this hotel was awful i would not recommend anyone to stay here. your better of staying in the travelodge which is in town and if you book early they do some cheap deals.
In Plymouth? Stay at the St Rita Hotel
This was a very pleasant experience, we arrived tired and wet to a warm welcome in a family run hotel with offroad parking and only ten minutes walk from the city centre. The accommodation was clean, warm, airy and more than adequate. After a good night's sleep we enjoyed a comprehensive english breakfast and took our time to get ourselves together as check out was not until noon. All in all a great stay and I would definitely use this hotel again. Thank you all.
great hotel

Horrid
This hotel is horrible, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I guess you get what you pay for but the cushions in the room smelled of greasy hair and the room was downright manky. The mattresses were horrible and the sheets threadbare and bobbly. I wouldnt want to walk on the carpet in barefeet put it that way. Yuk. We booked it because the reviews made it out to be okay, but we went elsewhere (even though we'd already paid over the internet). I can't understand how some people thought it was okay, but each to their own.
Pleasant stay, friendly staff
We had a family room. The room was good, a bit old fashioned, but this suited the older building. The room was clean and so was the ensuite bathroom, could have done with more towels, no doubt we could have been given more if we asked, but we had our own with us anyway. The staff were helpful and cheerful and breakfast was very good. Parking our 7 seater people carrier was a bit difficult, because of the narrow street behind the hotel which had cars parked along, but we managed it. Nice large park behind hotel, was perfect for walking... more
pleasantly surprised
We stayed at this hotel in January when the weather was cold and wet. We were very worried before booking this hotel as we had read bad reviews on the website. However as we needed to be fairly central and were booking at short notice, we phoned the hotel and were pleasanly surprised by the helpful staff after telling them of our worries. We had a very clean room all be it on the top floor but it was overlooking the park and was very clean tidy and warm. The shower room was also very clean and towels were changed daily. The breakfast... more
Very nice friendly service
After finding the hotel on the internet through Laterooms which were going to book it for me. I ended up calling the hotel myself and booking a room. We arrived at around 9pm sat 17th March it was my 21st birthday and me and two other girls were going to hit a club. When we arrived a friendly face greeted us, i was very impressed with the friendly service. The room was very nice and clean, breakfast in the morning was just as good. Really enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone. Thankyou
What a Hotel!!! Good for a Laugh, breakfast-- rest terrible
We arrived as a group of 12 which for the size of the hotel was a large booking. We were aged between 19 and 75 being instructors with a well known national youth organisation. We were looking forward to the national championships being held locally the next day. Upon arrival, we tried to get into the car park at the rear however this was not an easy experience. The road was narrow and cobbled with cars parked on one side making it difficult to get our mini bus in. Parking was for four cars maximum however on side streets locally... more
