Heavenly
We stayed at Hotel Una for 2 nights last weekend. The check in was very smooth and we were shown to our room. All the rooms are named after rivers and we had booked Danube on the first floor. It is a beautiful , large room with a super king size bed, 42" plasma tv, and a large free standing bath in the room. Molton Brown toiletries were provided and a nice touch. There is a balcony with a lounger and chair where you can sit out, weather permitting.....not during our stay ! Furnishings were all very high quality and everything... more
Fantastic Place!
What a fantastic little place! I am a longhaul flight attendant & have stayed in some very ropey hotels at times with work. This place was an absolute dream & perfect for our few days away. I would stay again wihout hesitation. Gorgeous decor & very very clean. We stayed in room Gaula & it was 100% as described, i could not fault it. Lots of great little touches around the room - even little bottles of Molten Brown toiletries in the bathroom & make-up removal pads just incase you forget your own! Staff were all very friendly &... more
Comfortable & Friendly
This was a friendly a comfortable Hotel where the staff were only too willing to help with anything from cases to printing directions to a place we wanted to visit in lewes. the room was well fitted, furnished and comfortable. Whilst I wasn't too sure about the additional ensuite shower in the bedroom (there was also a seperate bathroom) it didn't detract from the overall comfort and ambience. Graet sitting area screened from the bedroom and really comfortable so we decided to Breakfast in our room No hesitation in recommending... more
Una is the one
This was our first trip to Brighton and Hotel Una. What a gem of a hotel. Situated on Regency Square so central yet so peaceful. A small, boutique hotel, beautifully decorated. Check-in (and check-out) was very effecient and friendly especially as we arrived rather late in the evening. The room Gaula was lovely. Stripped wood floors and furniture. A small seating area, large comfy bed. The room had a tiny enclosed balcony. Very modern bathroom, plenty of hot water and towels and Molton Brown products. Large plasma screen tv. Tea,... more
Good despite a couple of problems
We stayed at Hotel Una during the week (Mon-Thurs), in the Belise room. We'd chosen this as we were enticed by the widescreen TV and sauna/jacuzzi - we wanted alternatives if the weather was lousy. As it was, the weather was fantastic, and Brighton in warm weather in early July was fabulous. The location is excellent - just at the end of the main drag, 5 mins walk from the middle of Brighton, the beach and the Lanes, but not so central that it's too noisy. Overall, we were very pleased with the hotel. We felt that there were a couple of... more
Very Chic
My husband booked the Danube room at Hotel Una for our Wedding Anniversary. The room was modern, clean, spacious (high ceilings) and airy - the front sash window opened to full height whereby you could walk out onto the balcony, sit or lounge and gaze at the sea view or just people watch. I loved the whole essence of the room as the bath was a major feature of the whole room - fancy taking a luxurious bath and watching a DVD whilst sipping champagne - that makes for any wedding anniversary!
Excellent Stay
We stayed here 19th - 21st June 2008 and were very impressed.. We booked directly with the hotel and from the very first contact the whole experience was very good The room was lovely (Lossie), lots of stripped wood and big window facing onto square (can see sea to the side). Bathroom was quite small, but had shower cubilcle (not for large people), toilet and large basin. Staff were great, given really good advice on where to eat (Thai restaurant The King & I, best Thai meal outside of Thailand that I've had) and were really... more
Lovely convenient boutique hotel
If you are in need of a break whilst attending a conference, this is the place to be. Quiet, comfortable and stylish but a quick walk away from the Hotel Metropole and conference centre, for non conference guests - there's plenty to do either by exploring the seafront or exploring the shops and restaraunts. Our room was very comfortable and stylish but agree that the view at the back isn't worth looking at. The bathroom is well equiped but thermostat on shower is quite tricky when trying to get the right temperature, we gave up and had... more
Dishonest staff.
The hotel itself is quite nice if only it was not ran by thieves. We were horribly overcharged becouse they do not recognize a reservation made through agent. Lousy explaination of simple attempt of stealing. When we refused to sign the bill they told us that no signature is needed since they already have our credit card number. Be aware!!!!!!!!!!!!!
