Excellent Would Stay again and again
from 1979traveller
Found this hotel estate on the website and was really impressed with what I saw so decided to book a 3 night midweek Break in a 2 bed Woodland Home. I emailed the hotel to sort the booking out and found the service second to none and had no problems what so ever. When we arrived at the Hotel yes they are still undergoing the landscaping but I wouldnt say that that would be a major issue but it will look stunning once summer is here and everything has grown. Check in was a breeze and the staff were very nice, drove round to our...

Stick to web booking!
from Much
Was going to stay here so checked prices on web site - on offer at £149 for a woodland room. Phoned reservations to confirm and price had risen to £189 within 2 minutes. Offer was not on, so price was £169 and hidden charges £10 per dog for 'deep clean' Offer was available and there was no mention of charging for dogs on the web site. Reservation staff - unhelpful, though Duty Manager did try to sort this out and eventually agreed the price was £149. Too late we'd made alternative arrangements. Unfortunate as we would...

Will be great eventually - but currently a mudbath!
from BigMikeBath
We got a good deal for a shortbreak in one of the self catering Woodland homes and were impressed by the images on the website. we were shocked on turning up to find that the majority of the parkland (quote a large area) in front of the hotel was mud rather than grass - there have evidently been some problems with timing of the grass seeding and the weather which we weren't aware of. To be fair the hotel manager did try to speak to us about this when we were there, but we never managed to answer each other's calls. Best ask before you...

Perfect setting for a rainy few days
from SarahPaulLondon
The hotel and spa is gorgeously put together, very modern and roomy with enough land to make you feel you are truely in the countryside whilst actually being on the edge of a town. The decor is cosy yet glamourous and the open plan bathroom / bedroom is a stroke of genius. The staff are all so freindly and welcoming, you don't feel as though you are in a hotel so grand you can't relax in the communal areas. Breakfast was very good and unhurried, we ate at Acorn's one night with mixed feeling about the dishes. The starters were fantastic,...

Sent from Heaven
from gooner36
Had booked for a mid week break for 5 days at the beginning of March. We arrived only 4 days after it opened. We were met at the reception desk at check in by Ross, who gave us a tour of the hotel, including a sneaky peak at a couple of the suites which were amazing. We were shown to our room which was fantastic, there was a huge bath with a drench shower. The bed was the biggest and most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The flat screen TV has a fantastic picture. The views from the balcony were great. All of the staff were...

Amazing hotel - great surroundings & brilliant staff
from Wanderlusterer85
We stayed at this hotel in March, just after the official opening. We didn't really know what to expect as it is so new, there weren't many reviews. Well, we were astounded by the whole weekend. The hotel is beautiful, the spa amazing (the infinity pool is a must see!) and the staff extremely poilte and helpful. The food was great too. We stayed in the newer part of the hotel. The room was huge, and very nicely decorated. The bed was probably the comfiest bed I've ever slept in. The hotel has beautiful...

Lovely hotel with fantastic service!
from CarterBurtonOnTrent
We booked this hotel with no idea what to expect as it is so new at the point of booking there were no trip advisor reports and the photos didn't reveal a lot. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Acorns restaurant is a must, the food is fantastic both breakfast and evening and the service from Joe and Sam was excellent everytime we ate in there. My husband and I were delighted with everything at the Cornwall and we will definitely be back to eat in the Acorns restaurant again!
Avoid unless you want calls & emails ignored
from samtab123
For two weeks my wife and I have been emailing The Cornwall to make a booking. Both emails from myself & wife have been ignored. Last night called them and they blamed SPAM mail. Funny that never had problems before. Even when this issue was addressed they still failed to reply to emails. Called them this morning, was told we would get a speedy call back, but nothing, What a joke bearing in mind this is a new resort. If this lack of service is anything to go by, i cant see this place lasting for too long.
Great weekend at The Cornwall Hotel & Spa
from Aurora0378
We booked this on a spur of the moment decision and wow, we were definiately not disappointed. Whilst the exterior landscaping had yet to be completed, the hotel and spa iteself were immaculately presented. The service was great, from the moment we arrived to the morning we left. As the hotel had only just opened it did feel like there were more staff than guests at times but this can only be a good thing! Easy location to find and also approx 20 mins from Padstow and Newquay so lots to see and do. The spa offers a variety of treatments...

WOW!!!
from Nottinghamsmiley
We travel to Cornwall often and have regularly found the hotels we have stayed in a little dates and old fashioned. This all changes at The Cornwall - modern large rooms with everyhing we could have asked for. The only thing we couldn't use was the fabulous balcony with views across the valley which most of the rooms have. The food was to die for and well worth the money but what made the hotel really stand out was the friendliness of the staff. They all seemed to be local and know the area well and could't be more helpful. The Spa was a...
