Excellent Value! Great Location!
The location of the hotel is very central, very close to downtown Plymouth along with other tourist areas such as Barbican and The Hoe. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly. Our room was spacious and sparkling clean as well. The only problem was parking. It was hard to find a parking spot because the users of the parking spots were also those going to the shopping centre that's close by. I must add Plymouth is a wonderful and a beautiful city. I would love to go back again.
Satisfactory
Well situated near the new shopping centre and not far from the the harbour area (aquarium, cinema complex etc.). Pleasant and helpful staff. Slight problem with the electricity in my room which is turned on using your room key in a slot in the wall - it wouldn't work, quickly fixed though, it was just a tripped fuse. Room a reasonable size, clean and comfortable. Nice firm bed which gave me a good night's sleep. I had a room at the back - none too special view but with the very reasonable rate I paid I cannot complain. Kettle/tea/coffee... more
Excellent bargain!
This hotel is beautifully clean and smart. The rooms are comfortable. The beds have really good quality sheets on, something which even some really expensive hotels don't worry about! The room was spotless and well appointed. The breakfast was nice enough and plenty of it. The staff were all really friendly, kind and welcoming. They were never irritable or unhelpful. In fact, they were all so smart I felt as though I spoiled the hotel by being there!!! I realise that Jury's is an Irish owned chain and there did seem to be so... more
Good value break in good location
Stayed here for 2 nights over a weekend and thought the location was brilliant. In a good spot close to the town centre for shopping and within easy 5 mins walking distance to the Barbican & Harbour and all that it had to offer. Room was on 6th floor, with a good view........of scaffolding of a new block of flats being built adjoining the hotel. We had no noise and even if you stayed there in the week I am sure there would not be a problem with noise with the building works. Room was of a good size, comfy bed and bathroom was nice... more
Loved the newness of the hotel!
My partner and I stayed 1 night in Plymouth as we had booked to see a show at the local Theatre Royal and decided that we would stay over rather than drive nearly 60 miles home. The hotel did not let us down, It was lovely ! Our room was spacious and very comfortable, bathroom was fine. Everything smelt so new and everything was very clean. The staff were very helpful. As we had driven nearly 100 miles from visiting family, we had some food home cooked by my mother to take home. and needed to be kept in a fridge. We asked Reception if... more
Good start
OK..this is a new hotel..part of the Irish Jury chain. Slap bang in the middle of Plymouth, on a busy road. But with air-con and closed windows who cares. Within easy walking distance of the historic Barbican..Mayflower steps and all. Rooms smallish, nicely decorated and furnished, wireless internet, good bar and retaurant. Best thing, £70/night compared to the Holiday Inn at £140. Very good value, at the moment.
Not Great!!
We stayed in this hotel for one night in July. As we stay regularly in Plymouth we thought we would try Jurys as it is a new hotel and was offering special rates. The main problem is parking as mentioned by other travellers. The hotel claims to have an agreement to park in the adjoining next door car park belonging to Staples. This is not a convenient arrangement as the car park is locked between the hours of 11.00pm and 8.00am not good if you need to arrive late or leave early! The other problem is that you have to be at the car... more

Me and my boyfriend stayed for two nights at the Jury's Inn. We chose this hotel over others due to its city centre location and because we have previously stayed at a Jury's Doyle in Ireland that we really loved. First impressions were good. Check-in was easy and efficient and the staff friendly and helpful - even if they did try charging £20 more than what we had been quoted on the internet when we made our reservation. This was corrected for our departure. The lobby area was modern and fashionable and had a nice ambience to it.<br... more
Parking!
The hotel has only just opened so was very lovely. The decor, furniture, etc were all in great condition. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside is the parking. They don't have a dedicated car park and the one next door has limited parking. It took me an hour to find somewhere secure to park which, after a 4.5 hour drive didn't go down too well. When I phoned the hotel they struggled to offer any advice on where to park too. My only other comment would be that there wasn't much choice on the menu for vegetarians.
Pleasant Stay
We stayed at Jurys Inn in Plymouth after receiving a marketing email telling us that it had just recently opened and were offering some deals. We have stayed in the Jury's Inn in Nottingham on a couple of occasions and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were spotless. We were surprised at how small the double bed seemed, but but still slept comfortably. The chamber maids were a little too keen to clean the rooms. After our first night, we came back to our room at around 2.30pm to find that only the towels and bathroom had been serviced. We... more
Friendly staff
We stayed here on the opening day for 2 nights. We found the hotel staff without exception to be friendly and efficient. The lobby area with reception and bar and restaurant leading off was airy and comfortable. We didn't eat in the restauant due to a kitchen fire in the early hours of the first night so the kitchen was out of action. The staff dealt with the situation quickly and efficiently and arranged breakfast at a nearby hotel with transport provided. The bedroom was comfortable with all you needed for a short stay.<br... more
