Abbeyfield Hotel

Jeff and Sandra really take the effort to make all their guests feel at home at Abbeyfield, the food and accommodation are excellent. We hope to be able to visit again and again!

when me and my partner stayed in the abbeyfield in august 2009, jeff and sandra were so welcoming and friendly and all throughout our stay they made sure we were ok and everything was alright! room was fantastic , location was great (not too close-not too far), breakfast was lovely with loads to choose from such as cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, full english. great value for money, especially for families and couples of all ages! would deffinatley reccomend!

we booked after finding the hotel on the internet.Jeff was very helpful whilst we booked and met us with Sandra and Maddie on our arrival with a welcoming pot of tea in the residents lounge,which was superb for a quiet moment if you wanted one at any time.The family room was clean,spacious and the cjildrens room of equal quality.Everything you needed was in the room and an irioning board and hair dryer on the landing for communal use.Breakfast really did set us up for the day.On offer daily was fresh fruit salad and compots,cereals(hot... more

We have recently stayed in a family room at The Abbeyfield and we found it to be extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the hosts, Jeff and Sandra, were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel has off-road parking and the location is ideal. The Bucko's (Derbyshire)

I stayed in the Abbeyfield for two weeks while I was in Torquay taking part in a leisure pursuit. Overall I think thought the place was excellent. The owners displayed an interest in what I was doing and were always enthusiastic when I spoke to them. I couldn't fault the room, the bed was comfortable and the en-suite facilities all worked. Loved this place. Was in town on business at the RIvera Conference Center. Walked to and from everyday with ease. JEff an Sandra provided breakfast- even when I had to leave early. The rooms were awesome, modern b&b. Great bed, shower. Super clean place. They were so kind and the food was excellent. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Stayed for 7 nights. great value, location perfect and beautiful home.

We spent one night at Jeff and Sandra hotel and the experience was great. They are really caring about their guests. The hotel and the room were immaculate, very good fresh breakfast with nice choice of local products. Quiet hotel as not on the main road but still easy walking distance from the city centre. We will go back.

We (my husband, myself and two children) stayed at the Abbeyfield for a weekend at the beginning of May. Jeff and Sandra have recently taken over the hotel but are proving to be great hosts already. The hotel itself is ideally situated with a short walk to the seafront and town and another big plus is they have their own parking. Me and my partner stopped at the Abbeyfield Hotel in May this year and I have to say that it is the best Hotel in the UK that we have stopped in. We travelled from Newcastle too so it was a far way to travel, however it was well worth it! The service was brilliant, the rooms spacious, modern and have everything you need and the food was out of this world! Travelling from Singapore as a family of 5 we picked 4 locations in the UK that we would visit - Abbeyfield Hotel,Torquay being one. Before leaving for our holiday I was somewhat worried as I know from experience that accommodation standards can be a bit hit and miss! Abbeyfield was great, spotlessly clean, quite homely and we'd booked the family room which turned out to be two attached rooms, so we even got a bit of space from the kids!
