Hotel Keti

This is the best priced hotel with a view of the caldera hands down. We could not have found anything with such amzing views for such a great price. It is not luxury at all but the room was a good size and very, very clean. The bathroom was tiny but also nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you cannot climb up and down tons of stairs then this is not the place for you. We did not mind the steps as the view from them was amazing. This is a great place to stay. Don't look anywhere else...

Picture perfect. We went on our honeymoon in September. All rooms face the caldera. You can sit outside your room and gaze out onto the open sea. From the walk outside your door, you can watch cruise ships and yachts come and go in addition to viewing the beauty of white washed buildings in bustling downtown Thira. Just had a fantastic 3 nights at Hotel Keti. It cost 90 euros for a triple room as the doubles were fully booked. The rooms are spotless and a good size. The location is perfect. There is alot of steep walking involved which I think is important to point out as not everyone can manage all the steps. The balconys are huge and all the other guests were very friendly but, if you respect your privacy then this idea wont be for you. This hotel is a great value for Thira. The location, in my opinion is perfect. away from the noise, yet close to the bus, shops, and food. This is a family run hotel. And you feel like you are part of the family. They are very nice and pleasant and will do whatever they can to assist you. Do not expect Amercan amenities. The room are on the small side, there is no pool, resuraunt ect. BUT the rooms are clean, comforable and - the view is incredible and why would you want to spent much time in your room anyway? My husband and I stayed at Hotel Keti in June 2005 for our honeymoon. When we called to make a reservation 3 months in advance all of the double rooms had already been booked up (60 euros / night), so we settled for a triple (70 euros per night at that time of year). This hotel is situated on the side of a cliff overlooking the old port of Thira and a volcano. You can't beat that. The views especially at sunset are unmatched. The room was fine but not fancy and the price was certainly reasonable. It is close to town so very convenient. There are lots of steps to get to the hotel so beware if you don't like to walk. My only complaint and it's not really a complaint was that there was no breakfast. There is also no pool. For the price and the views though, this is a real find.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Keti in May 2005. The views from the balconies are spectacular (see the hotel webpage). We stayed in a triple room (65 Euro - an absolute bargin compared to the surrounding hotels). Unless you want luxurious accommodation, this place is perfect. THe views are the most spectacular on the island, and you are far enough away from the bar/tourist trap district to actually have peace and quiet. clean, comfortable, rooms hewn out of volcanic rock, so naturally cool, and opens onto the cliff face, so constant sea breezes as well. where else can you wake up to a hawk perched on your balcony rail? the staff is friendly and helpful, and did i say the views are spectacular?

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Keti, on Santorini, for 3 nights in April 2005. The Hotel was very nice, with spectacular views. It was a great value (I think we paid 60 euros/night). This hotel was the best of all the places we saw in FIRA! Maybe there are better or more luxurious places tucked away somewhere but with the KETI being only 50EUROS/NIGHT it cannot be beat! The hotel is on every postcard you see of Fira. You can see your balcony on every card. The view is awesome! The rooms are pretty-good size-wise. Neither large nor tiny.
