Aruba Beach Club

I don't know what these people are complaining about, but the Aruba Beach Club was great! The beach is fantastic. It was nice to enjoy the peace and quiet when we wanted to, but to join in the activities when we didn't. The staff was great and very accommodating. We will go back again in an instant!

Almost everyone was over 55 . Employees were rude, unhelpful and they were even going into our room. We came back one evening and found cookie crumbs and a large piece of cookie on the floor in the doorway as well as bathroom, at this point I did not feel safe or comfortable any longer. This was our 3rd trip to Aruba and our first and last stay at the Aruba Beach Club . The beach was not tended to daily. The pool was dirty. The staff was rude. My husband and I were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. We had heard great things about Aruba and the Aruba Beach Club. The reviews on this site were wonderful. There was not one unfavorable review about the resort, which is rare. We own a timeshare in Orlando, and we were able to exchange it for the Aruba Beach Club. First of all, if your going to retire its great. Almost everyone was over 55 and counting. There were men over 60 in speedos. It was a ghastly sight. Employees were rude, unhelpful and they were even going into my room. Someone even stole a pair of pants and a blouse out of my room. I thought I left it home. Well I'm home and no blouse and pants. We stayed here because the Manchebo "bumped" us from overbooking their hotel....I had no idea they could do this. Despite my initial shock from being moved and not being notified in advance, we were pleased to find a large room with two beds, a full-size refrigerator, great air conditioning, cable TV, ample bathroom and partial ocean-view. They are currently in the process of renovating their downstairs (not sure about the upstairs) but we weren't close enough to hear much of the work. Just got back from Aruba spent a week at Casa Del Mar (which is attached to Aruba Beach Club) We had a 2 bedroom right on the beach, what a beautiful beach. The sunsets are just amazing!! This is our second time there and it's actually better then I remembered from the first time. The staff are all so nice and willing to go out of your way to make sure you enjoy your stay with them. We just returned from Aruba with our two young children and we are so pleased. We rented a timeshare week from a third party broker and everything went smoothly. We arrived a day early and had made reservations at the hotel next door for one night, but they were over-booked and sent us to the ABC. We stayed in a studio the first night. While we were supposed to check out by noon and then not check into our other room until 4:00, the staff came to our door at 11:00am and told us that they had the other room ready. I love this place. It is the oldest timeshare on the island and it is right on the beach. You can walk out your door in the early morning and drink your coffee while gazing at the sea. It is nicely decorated with hand stencilled floral motifs on the walls. It is quaint -- and nothing like the highrises further up the road. If you like a lowrise hotel right on the beach, I recommend this place. This is a great timeshare location. We had won this package via SkyAuction. It was a great bargain for $1100. This place has all ocean views, and was the first time we have had a meaningful ocean view with a nice balcony to watch the sunset and feel the warm tropical air. The place is neat and well kept. The beach is nice with palm frond umbrellas. It's good to rent a car because it is far from downtown, but you can also wait for the bus, but since we paid so cheap for the package, $300 for a week's worth of car rental was not bad. This... more
