Pension Omorfi Poli

Our holidays in Nafplion were great! Our stay in the Omorfi Poli has made it perfect. They welcomed us very friendly and we felt like home. We had the room Athina which is in blue colour (every room has a different colour) and we promised to come with our children next time, since there is plenty of space for the four of us. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the hospitality was great. Go elsewhere if you expect slick corporate uniformity and sterile perfection. This place is charming and unique with it's individually named and decorated rooms, and the chatty housekeeper, the charming and multilingual manager... Whilst we were staying our daughter was unwell and the owner-manager made it mission it seemed to make sure we were happy and comfortable including getting recommendations for a local good paediatrician. It was really pleasant experience to stay in Pension Omorfi Poli. I would suggest it to everybody. It is located very close to the city centre and so we did not have to use the car, access to everywhere was very easy just with a few minutes of walking. Staff was very friendly and willing to provide helpfull information about see sights around. The room was comfortable and very clean. Omorfi Poli is in a lovely old building right in the heart of the charming old town of Nafplion. Our room was big and comfortable with high ceilings. These sort of hotels in Europe can have iffy plumbing, but we never had any trouble with our shower. The breakfast is ample with nice bread, home made jams (they gave us a jar as we chacked out), fresh fruit and yogurt. They have two ``family'' rooms with extra beds for kids. Excellent location! In the midst of old town so you can stroll to restaurants, central square, and waterfront. Palamidi Fortress is only a 5 minute walk. We went running/ walking every morning on a path that traces the waterfront to the town beach. Omorfi Poli is located on a side street so it is buffered from the majority of the night time noise. It was a bit difficult to find since the only information we had was that it was on Sofroni St across from the Folklore Museum but none of our maps showed Sofroni St. (so I have included a picture of their card with a map on it-Sofroni is one way so enter from Amalias) When we found the Omorfi Poli we knew we had made a good choice. If driving you can unload your luggage and then go park on the wharf. Parking can get crowded by late morning but it is safe and free. Omorfi Poli is very well located in Naufplio, close to everything. The breakfast room, where a very ample breakfast is served, is lovely and the rooms are cute. Rooms fronting the road can be noisy, however, and the other rooms overlook a rather ugly building. There are a lot of stairs due to the high ceilings. Pension Omorfi Poli is in a great location in old town of Nafplion. The owners spoke excellent English and were very nice and helpful. The room was quiet because it faced the back alley. In the morning you wake to the smell of fresh baked goods from the bakery next door. Good breakfast included with the room.

We live in Athens but we adore Naphlion so we go there whenever we have a free weekend. We have walked by this pension and noted it for its great location (near the harbor where the only parking for our car is) and 5min walking distance from the centre. We booked a double room for €75 per weekend night. The building although old is in very good condition and our room was quite spacious with basic decoration. The Omorfi Poli was comfortable and reasonably priced. The location is great - within walking distance from the water, town square, and shopping. A large breakfast (fruit, bread, ham, cheese, yogurt) is included and they do a lovely homemade jam. Our room was bright and old-fashined/country-styled with hard wood floors and a balcony. Service was nice and spoke English.
