Hotel Angelina

Very clean. Greeted with a genuine smile from paulo which continued for my whole stay along with his fatherwho were also very helpful. breakfast was great/fresh. Room was cleaned each morning Sant agnello sits 20mins walk outside sorrento which was perfect as its away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel isn't as 'quaint' as you would expect from the reviews. The rooms are okay, sizewise it was larger than most we experienced although the walls are paper thin and noise travels easily and often. The location is suburbia, it's a good 20 minute walk to Sorrento so we felt somewhat removed from the heart of it all. The service was fairly average, the staff seemed put out if you asked them a question. Breakfast was okay. If you can't afford to stay in Sorrento, it's the cheaper option.

Located on a quaint, narrow street, this hotel is clean and quiet. I recommend the rustic little restaurant just a minute's walk from the lobby. If Sorrento is your main focus, it's a ways out of town, but the bus runs frequently and friendly Paolo will show you the best walking route, avoiding the busy Corso Italia. I visited Italy earlier this month with my girlfriend, and we essentially relied on tripadvisor.com reviews for most of our accommodations. I have to say I was disappointed with the Hotel Angelina, a bed & breakfast located on a quiet street near Sorrento. We've stayed in Sorrento and St Agnello many times- hotels in Sorrento itself are always much more expensive so I'd really recommend St Agnello because it's cheaper, quieter and still within walking distance of Sorrento. YOu can use the public transport easily enough, but if you're mobile, then the walk is lovely. The Angelina is a very sweet little hotel and very cheap; if you offer to pay cash rather than card, you'll probably be offered an even better rate so give it a go! Picked the hotel because of reviews on trip advisor. Booked 4 nights for 3 adults. Paid EU 80/night which was a real bargain compared to other locations in Italy. Easy to find from Train station, about a 8 minute walk. Friendly staff. Decent size rooms. Quiet location. Breakfast is Cereal, Juice, coffee, rolls and croisants, fresh fruit. Hotel Angelina is a beautiful little hotel located in Saint Agnelo (a small town next to Sorrento). It was a perfect spot for two younger travellers doing Italy on a budget. We were initially worried about its two-star rating, but the value we received for our money was outstanding. Lovely friendly family run hotel set in a quiet street with an old orange orchard next to it. We hired a car and did have a little difficulty finding the hotel - not in the main centre of Sorrento but a lovely authentic Italian area. We left the car and caught the bus to the Marina to go to Positano and Isle of Capri as parking is difficult and apparently parking fines horrendous. Nice restaurants in walking distance. Would recommend hotel especially for the price.

This was our first visit to Sorrento. It proved to be an excellent choice and so was the Hotel Angelina in which we stayed at, for the beginning of August 2004! Sorrento is a great central location to say in, as we were able to cram a lot of trips into our 6 night stay: Namely, Capri, Ischia, Ravello, Positano, Amalfi, Pompeii, Herculaneum...and the list goes on! My husband and I, stayed at the Hotel Angelina, with our son who is nearly three, for three weeks. The Hotel itself is most charming, and is situated in a splendid location. We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the rooms, and extremely impressed by the cleanliness of the whole hotel. Our lovely en-suite room, complete with airconditioning, had the loveliest view of a magnificent orange orchard from the balcony.
