I have no complaints about this hotel at all. Loved every minute of my stay. On our first night we arrived late and were asked straight away if we would like dinner, even though is was after they'd finished serving it was no trouble.As they say first impressions count and this did indeed. Staff were very friendly and welcoming especially Barbara at reception, nothing was any bother. Our room was fantastic, great view, great location for the Hahnenkamm cable car (i receommend the night rides on a friday to see the sunset!!!). Amazing!!! Food... more

The Schweizerhof is a great hotel situated close to the centre of Kitzbuehel and directly opposite the bus stop and Hahnenkamm cable car. Our rooms were bright and spacious, very clean, and furnished to a high standard. The food was not the best I have had in Austria, but still very good - excellent buffet breakfast and four course evening meal including salad buffet and choice of main dish. Free packed lunches were also provided. The hotel has lovely bar and terrace areas and the staff were very helpful.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Schweizerhof. Didn't want to come home as we had such a fab time. The hotel was in a perfect position for the Hannekhan lift ( less than a minute's walk!), the rooms were spotless and the food superb. All the staff were extremely friendly and hardworking and knew all our names and favourite drinks by the end of the first day! Kitzbuhel is a beautiful town and along with this hotel it's a wonderful destination. We'll be back next year!

My wife and I have just literally arrived back from holiday. Before going - we were a little concerned after reading some of the previous reviews. However, we need not have worried. We had a great stay at the Schweizerhof. The staff were friendly, the atmoshere warm and the food was of a high quality. We had a nice room looking up to the famous streif - which was both comfortable and clean. I stayed in Schweizerhof with my family from 12.01. till 19.01.08. Our first impression was quite good, because the hotel has wonderful location (2 minutes walking from Aquarena, 3 minutes walking from centre and across the street from Hahnenkamm gondola) and rooms were big and clean, although not 4 star standard (no mini bar, very poor amenities - cosmetics terrible). This was the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced. The management were extremely rude and the food wasn't edible. The management also added numerous extra charges onto our bill without informing us.

Can you believe all the other excellent reviews of this hotel? Yes you can, it is the best hotel we have stayed in for many a year. we had booked this hotel through Voyages Jules Verne for a 1 week walking/sightseeing holiday in mid September 2007 Set just outside the main area of the town ( 2minutes walk) and across from the Hahnemkamm chair lift, it is in an excellent location, from the rear of the hotel you can see the finishing area of the famous Hahnemkamm downhill race. We've just returned from a two week stay at this hotel. The hotel is well situated but the best thing about the hotel are the marvellous staff who are very well trained and extremely friendly. The Manager is always on hand to ensure all runs smoothly and that guests are well catered for. The food is excellent and was not at all boring even for a two week stay. This hotel is excellent. Good location close to the Hannekahm and train station. The staff and very friendly and helpful. The rooms large and clean. I would most definitely stay here again.

A lovely hotel where the customers are welcome from the moment you step through the door. All the staff are very friendly, nothing is too much trouble and their English is also excellent. The meals consisted of 4/5 courses, designed cleverly to ensure you have room to eat them all! The breakfast buffets gave a great spread to suit all tastes.
