wet feet - but lovely hotel !!!!!
from ashcart
we have just come back from 4 days in venice staying at the hotel altieri. we made use of the free transfer service that was excellent. we were a littlel wary of the hotels location but we now have to say having been there that the location is absolutely no problem. the bus, as other people who have been have said, literally stops over the road, we always took number 4 - one euro each way and tickets are avilable from reception. the ride was about 20 minutes to the bustation in venice and that meant we had chance to see the local area. we...

Easy access to Venice
from London_fountain_man
It is only a 5 minute journey on the 15 bus from the airport and the bus stops right around the corner from the hotel. The 19 bus stop is only about 100 yards to the right of the hotel and it is about 20 minutes into Venice. All in all the travelling is very easy and convenient. The hotel itself was in a very quiet area and had some nearby restaurants/take aways which were very cheap - the food was very good. The staff all spoke good English and were helpful. Breakfast was from 7 - 10 and had the usual wide variety of choice, as in...

Value for money
from LenaPerth
My husband, 3 year old daughter and I stayed here recently and found the place quiet, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was typical of European hotels. The sister hotel: Hotel Ducale, had free internet use. We ate there and found the meal average. The salad and vegetable buffet was very good though. The hotel was close to everything- laundry, post office, restaurants and gifts. Next time, we would stay closer to the city.
Reasonable Value

Nice Hotel, booked via Hotel club, was the cheapest one we could find. We stayed 3 night with a 5 year old child, room was decent & clean, shame no coffee/tea selection in the room. Staff were friendly wouldn't say this is the ideal place for children unless well travelled like mine! We were out in Venice all day long coming back late in the evening! The hotel didn't have any informations about things in Venice but lluckily we were well prepared with our nice little travel book! Not much choice of places to eat, there's a...

Impressive Value
from bjh6lehigh
My wife and I just returned from a two-week trip in Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. We booked almost all of our lodging based on advice from Trip Advisor. Of the places we stayed, the Hotel Altieri was the nicest place while being one of the least expensive. It is clean and new. The rooms are quite large by European standards. The bathrooms are modern with a nice shower head. The beds are very comfortable. The hotel has air conditioning, which is a rarity in Europe. This could be important in the summer. Each room has a TV, but...

Decent hotel for less money.
from Khiladi
I stayed at the Altieri hotel with my wife for 4 nights. Pros: - Cheap! I'd rather spend money inside Venice than invest in a more expensive hotel. After all we were at the hotel only at night, spent most of our time in Venice. - Good breakfast. We had bread with cheese, ham, and salami; yogurt; cafe latte; and two sorts of juice. - Service. The personel was very friendly and professional. We knew no italian and has no problem communicating with them. - Bus service. There are quite a few bus stops about 100 m away...

Outside of Venice but a nice large room
from KCPL
This hotel was nice but a little out of the way. We took a bus to get there and in Italy (at least in this area) there are no signs on where the bus is stopping. We were worried we were going to miss it. The hotel is bright pink and modern inside. Our room was large. It had a double bed and a single next to it. The bathroom was modern with a pretty good shower. The only problem was to turn the room lights on you must put the key into a slot on the wall. If someone leaves and takes the key with them the lights go out. No one wants to...

Great place to stay to see venice on a budget
from Hudnut
We stayed here for 4 nights. We booked online and wondered what we'd get but having seen everyone's reviews on the various websites, we thought we'd give it a go. We weren't disappointed. The hotel is a way out of Venice (about 20 mins on the bus) - but there are buses every 5 mins just along from the hotel and they are very cheap - only €1. This is so much cheaper than a hotel in Venice and cheaper than some hostels we've stayed in Italy. Transport-wise, we bought a 3 day pass for Venice for €25 which also covered the...

Good relation price/quality
from Ana_Patricia
This hotel in Venice is locatted at Favaro- Veneto, a place nearby Venice. To get there you can take the bus nº 19, that takes 15 minutes from the historical city center to the hotel. If you get the bus nº 4 or 4/, you take 30 minutes, but you can see the other part of venice apart from the historical center. From the Aeroport the bus nº 15 takes you directelly to Favaro/Veneto. The hotel is nice with very simple, clean and nice rooms. The breakfast is simple, but you can have always a well done capuccino in the mornig.<br...

Not the best location, but a GREAT hotel!!!
from A TripAdvisor Member
I only stayed in Venice for one night, but I wish I could have stayed at this hotel longer. For the price of this hotel, it is one of the best places I have ever stayed. The staff is extrememly friendly and helpful: one of the ladies even walked us to a restaurant after she got off her shift as she knew we had just arrived and would not have any idea on where to go. The rooms are great! Small, but everything is clean. Lots of beautiful, jade marble. The bathrooms are great as well, very clean, great, hot water pressure. I was not...
