The lobby of the hotel gives you a clue to wha you will get at this hotel. Dusty and dirty and obviouly not maintained. Our room was not clean although the sheet (and I mean 1 sheet) on the bed was. The bathroom was dirty and the bath (about 1 metre long) was dirty and... more

Stayed at amar sina xmas and new year. Never again bar staff rude when you could get one to serve you,no ice for drinks,a hot meal no chance. Had one day of rain staff got up on the roof to cover it with plastic sheets what a joke. We dont have a good word to say about this place. Take it from us dont go near the place. STAY AWAY

This is our sixth stay at the Amar Sina Hotel for myself and my partner on a B&B basis, it may not be everyone's "cup of tea" but we have always enjoyed our stay. On this trip we brought my partners mother out for her 70th (she has enjoyed the sun, hospitality of the staff... more

Myself and my boyfriend stayed in Amar Sina in April 2010. When we pulled up outside the hotel we didnt believe that it was the same hotel as in the pictures. When we got to our room we discovered we had just a piece of foam as a mattress, the room was very dark and dingy -... more

Oh my god!! What a place!! We were sold this hotel as a 4* property, it would be lucky to get a 2!! The resort was like a building site, the food was atrocious and the pool was falling to pieces with us in it!! Our air conditioning didn't work, it was fixed after 4... more

My husband and I spent 2 weeks at the Amar Sina Hotel and I liked it. You get what you pay for and if you pay for 3 star then you get 3 star. I thought the hotel had character with lots of little alcoves with unusual seating. The breakfasts were great with a huge choice of... more

Really enjoyed our stay
I am mystified as to how two sets of couples can have such different experiences in the same hotel. We stayed here in August and had a wonderful time. No holes in our sheets and a very clean and tidy room - no problems with the pool either. The air-conditioning was very efficient. Yes, the food was outside but only in the evenings and then it was covered with clingfilm at all times (whether inside or outside). We ate all the salads - delicious - and didn't have any problems. As soon as the manager realised that I was vegetarian,... more
Great Hotel Amar Sina
Had a fantastic holiday at the amar sina,we we worried after reading some of the reviews in our case we had no problems, the rooms were very clean, hot showers every day.The food was very good loads of choice at breakfast and evening meal and less at lunch time which i ate but did'nt really need,Just a pig. My 13 year old daughter spent most of the time in the pool which was clean and you could just walk in to it.She loved the staff who were very helpful and friendly. She also liked the internet cafe next to reception which was £15 egyptian... more
Food posioning heaven - beware
My boyfriend and I stayed for 7 nights at Amar Sina and it was 7 nights to long as far as we were concerned. Firstly the rooms were filthy, sheets dirty and with more holes than material, towels thread bear - need I go on. Secondly the pool was filthy and the hassle around the pool from the massage team was just dreadful and insulting at the best of times. The zoo at the back of the hotel is awful - a camel, goats, birds of pray and monkies - is the back of a hotel in small cages the correct place for these animals?? - i... more
Hotel with Egyptian feel....
After reading some other peoples reviews on this hotel I was not holding too much hope for the two weeks i was going to be staying there. Firstly I travelled with my girlfriend, it is the first time either of us have visited Egypt so we didnt know what quite to expect. We arrived to the hotel via taxi from the airport which cost us about £15 plus tip, we had been ripped off as we later learned long taxi joruneys could cost you as little as £3 -£5, but that is a seperate issue. The hotel itself is very clean and well... more

Beware of a man called Meana ( only kidding ) is a great guy very friendly and good photographer. Overall very good holiday and hotel worth going. kala and mark
Avoid Like The Plague!
Oh my gosh, I have never been iller - and neither have the 20 or so people we spoke to while we were there. The staff are pleasant and friendly, and do make it more of a pleasant stay. BUT..... *The pool is filthy, with flies and scum all over the top and round the sides *The food is servied look warm and left standing for at least an hour before lunch/dinner *You get harrassed non-stop by the massage guy *The showers are mouldy *The rooms are dirty *SOME of the management are ignorant and not interested in... more
amar sina great little hotel
just spent 2 weeks at the amar sina, arrived in the night and not to impressed but when morning broke was pleasantly surprised. the design of the hotel is something else. like other reviews that have been posted, the same echo comes from ourselves. the guys who work there are supurb. they really have a laugh with you and go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. marco is a star if you go make sure you get to know this guy. he will make you laugh from morning till night. the food is ok probably the only let down. as i said we were... more
Team Glamour..Amar Sina Nicky & Terri
Stayed at the Amar Sina, May 2006 with my friend. First impression was a bit ropey but from the moment we ditched the bags the holiday got going. The staff are fab and remember your name, room number and always make a point of saying hello. As the hotel is small you feel part of a little community and by the end of the week we knew most people around the pool and it was very hard to pack our bags and say goodbye. The food was fine, not a big eater so it suited me although my friend had a dodgy tummy but you come to expect that... more
