Hotel Porta Felice

We stayed at Porta Felice for two nights. The hotel and the rooms are modern and well designed. The staff is really welcoming and helpful. The breakfast room is full of light, with a terrace overlooking the old roofs of La Kalsa quarter. Breakfast is good, with plenty of choice and smiling waitress. Beautifully-designed, comfortable, ultra-moderne rooms. Great view from breakfast buffet. Quiet!!

We stayed for one night after our Sicily tour. The hotel is upscale, amazingly brand new rooms and bathrooms. Very tasteful. Breakfast was wonderful on the last floor overlooking the roofs of part of the city. Selection was very good and staff perfect. Highly recommended. The location was good as well as one can find restaurants by just walking a few minutes.

If we were returning to Palermo, we would most certainly stay at the Porta Felice again. It is a wonderful hotel in an up and coming area. The rooms are clean and modern, complete with great bathrooms that have unusally good water pressure for anywhere, especially Italy. Sleeping was not disturbed by door slamming or street noise, as it often is at other hotels. It was nice and quiet! We were returning to Palermo for an early flight in the morning. We had read reviews about terrible hotels close to the airport so decided to look for hotels in Palermo. Firstly the drive through Palermo is definitely not for the faint hearted! This hotel is not in the best area of Palermo it has to said. An absolute jewel of a find. Excellent value, spotless modern spacious rooms (we had a suite) and breakfast included on top floor terrace. 15 minute walk from Central station and very close to Piazza Marina restaurants. Good local restaurants also nearby for fresh grilled meat and fish. 5 mins walk to main bus routes and Sightseeing Bus stops. Highly recommend

The decision to go to Sicily on Holiday was a last minute one, so we didn't find that many available hotels. Many of the places we saw online seemed overpriced and had outdated decor, when we came accross the Porta Felice the photos we saw on the website looked nice, but for the price we honestly weren't expecing anything too fancy, so when we arrived at the hotel the luxurious decor (especially of the bedrooms was a nice surprise), the bed was incredibly comfy (we stayed here for 3 nights) and the bathroom spacious and decorated in marble... more

We stayed in this hotel for three nights. We had two rooms - the slightly more expensive room at the front of the hotel for us and the less expensive, smaller room at the rear for our children. The hotel doesn't have any views as such but I would suggest that one pay the little extra for a room at the front of the hotel, as the only floor with a "view" to the rear is the third floor. very impressive. service is excellent - staff speak very good english, are friendly and very helpful, rooms are very clean and very fancy, new and comfortable. location is great for city visits, shopping and night out. you may find many other hotels in palermo with similar accommodation standards but the service in Porta Felice is a plus that you will not find easily around.

This hotel has a modern, fresh feel. The rooms were very well decorated, great toiletries, comfortable bed, full range of TV channels, balcony. Staff were very helpful and professional. Great spread at breakfast - meats, cakes, fresh fruit, smoothies. Hotel was just at the right distance away from Palermo centre - about 10 minutes walk, and just next to the seafront. As a result, we were too busy site-seeing to enjoy the Wellness Centre, but it looked very nice, although the gym was very basic.
