Pueblito Luxury Condohotel

My wife and I stayed here in May 2008 and we loved it. The bed was very comfortable and the pool area on the roof was enjoyable for relaxing. Having sofas in a covered area on the roof was nice for when you wanted to get out of the sun but stay in the heat, I burn easily. The hotel is located a couple minutes walk from the best part of the beach in Playa Del Carmen. Seeing all the prior reviews here is a bit frustrating as I do not believe they accurately portray the hotel. I am going to try and be as objective as possible and not just be 'that guy' who had one bad experience and then pretends everything else is terrible. Witihin a day at the hotel, I had this strange attitude that I was getting pretty decent value for my $ as it was a nice place and not too expensive, but it seemed to needlessly keep itself from being much nicer. Just returned from Playa with our two kids aged 11 and 13. We also had little information on the Pueblito at the time of booking. As a general rule the reviews are bang on. This place is a gem. The location is in a quiet area of Playa but walking distance to everything. Beach is yards away and 5th is 2 minutes up the street. I would guess the walking time to the docks which is the other end of town is 20 to 25 minutes at a very casual pace - our kids walked it every night with no complaints. My husband and I just returned from Pueblito Escondido. We absolutely loved it. Rooftop pool was the best - awesome view, great breeze so it never got too hot. Other pool was great too - both have plush lounge chairs with cushions - a couple of days we had the pool to ourselves. We were interested in the penthouse, but booked the Jr Suite instead - glad we did - Penthouse pools have no privacy - might was well get the Jr Suite and just enjoy the rooftop pool. This place was pimp. The location was perfect, the service was good for Mexico. It was very nice, clean, new and modern decor. The suites are big and I wouldn't write this review if I thought I would be back in Mexico because I would hate to create the demand that will jack the price. The restaurant downstairs has very good food and is open late.

After not finding much information on the hotel, I put my trust in the hands of TripAdvisor members and they did not disappoint. We absolutely loved this hotel. It is located on the newer, nicer, less crowded section of 5th Avenue & 38th St. The beach is literally on the doorstep. No direct ocean view rooms but you could see the beach from the balcony. My husband and I stayed at Pueblito for 5 nights and have nothing but great things to say about this place. I do want to mention we have been going down to this are for 15 years and have watched the town grow and know it well. We loved this place because it is in the north quiet end of town where the best beaches are but yet a 5 minute walk from 5th Ave where all the action is. I just returned from my vacation at Pueblito Escondido (Feb 28-March 4th). Initially I was looking to book a vacation rental but after a random Expedia search I discovered this jewel of a hotel. Expedia was showing a great rate of $304 CND a night but since we were flying standby I booked the Penthouse Suite (2 bdrm, 2 bath) directly through the hotel instead. My Husband and I just returned from sunny/beautiful Playa Del Carmen. We stayed at Pueblito Escondido which is off of 5th avenue on a quiet street. It is steps from the beach and has an amazing view from the 4th floor rooftop infinity pool with bar. It is an adults only area which was fantastic. My partner and I just returned from a 6 night stay at Pueblito Escondido and I cannot begin to tell you how much we enjoyed it. The location is just fabulous -- just steps from the beach and on a quieter end of the Fifth (though still only a short walk from lots of action). My partner and I stayed here for 4 days in the last week of January. We stayed in a junior suite. Positives: This is the perfect location; 10 seconds from the beach and a quick 5 minute walk to the main stroll. Quiet but close enough to the action if that is what you are looking for. The rooms are new and nicely appointed. They have "full" kitchens with a blender for margaritas. The roof top deck and pool are beautiful with an amazing view. We stayed at the pueblito escondido resort from jan 23 thru jan29th. we had a junior suite and our friends that we traveled with also had a junior suite. we had lots of doubts staying there because there were no reviews on the hotel and it is quite new. were were very pleasantly surprised and really loved it! the first item i will mention is the best part of the hotel is the pool! it is on the 4th floor which is the top floor of the hotel. it is beautiful......there is an infinity pool with an amazing view of the beautiful blue ocean.... more
