Aqua Palace Hotel

My huband and I spent 2 nights in this hotel while visiting Italy. The entire hotel is beautiful and the staff is VERY friendly and helpful. I highly recommend taking a private taxi to the hotel (it may cost 80 euro) but it is worth every penny. If you have never been to Venice getting around can be near impossile because you get lost very easily. The taxi will drop you off at the hotel's door, it was very cool! We celebrated our honeymoon at the Aqua palace hotel for 3 nights in May. We had originally booked at another hotel but decided we wanted to be closer to the 'action' yet still be in a relatively quiet spot. We took a gamble on this hotel as it had only be opened a few weeks when we booked it and there really weren't many reviews to read. What a great choice we made. This hotel is fabulous. We travelled to Venice by train (great way to do it if you have the time) all the way from Scotland due to the ash cloud. Not only did this hotel work with us so efficently and pleasantly with our very fluid arrival date but when we eventually arrived they upgraded our room. What a room we had, on the 4th floor with balcony windows overlooking a small canal and furnished to 5 star quality. The room, staff, location and food were immaculate. I have just returned from a three night stay with my wife and young son. The hotel is in what must be one of the best locations in Venice, close to all areas but also in its own quiet space with adjacent canal. The rooms are massive, clean and very confortable. The staff were very helpful and helped organise a private water taxi from the airport direct to the hotel when we arrived which, although a bit expensive, is well worth the extra. The hotel is situated in a beautiful setting just steps from San Marco and Rialto, the interior is well maintained and set chosen with taste and class, the staff very well trained, the 4 stars are few, comfortable and pleasant stay. Good morning without waking noises during the night and the morning quiet, efficient room service breakfast but the waitress rude, to be back ..... without breakfast. jeff

We had a brilliant stay at the aquapalace- we were upgraded to a suite with a view of the canal. The hotel is really close to Rialto but its tucked away so you don't feel like your in the middle of it all. The rooms are fab and the service was very good. I live in Venice and I had my parents coming over.. My husband and I stayed at the Aqua Palace Hotel fo 3 nights over Easter. The biggest strength of the hotel are the rooms. Our room (room 104) was huge and tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The room looked exactly like the website! Our room also had a great view (photos attached) so overall was beyond my expectation based on the price we paid. The hotel location was ideal. Found the staff friendly and very helpful. Organised a great trip to Murano, definitely worth a visit. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and would definitely recommend it to friends. New hotel so very fresh, only problem is that the water taxi didn't know where it was!
