The Sunset Beach Resort & Spa, Taling Ngam

What an amazing place to stay. The service at Ban Sabai is 1st class. The staff will do anything for you. The hotel manager gets to know every guest on a first name basis. The rooms are serviced twice a day. We stayed in the Sunset room and it was amazing. The room's facilities are superb. The restaurant is very nice and the food is ok. This was just meant to be a stop over of a few days on our return journey from Australia back to Dubai. The resort is in a remote part of the island; about as far away from the airport as you can get, which suited us perfectly. We booked a garden villa on line, but upgraded to a beach villa when we arrived and saw the location, which is tranquil and exactly what we were looking for, and compared the villas. We spent three nights in Ban Sabai Sunset Beach hotel in Taling Ngam, Koh Samui at the beginning of August 2008 and I cannot recommend it highly enough. On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the manager and staff and were instantly made to feel that they were there to make us have a wonderful holiday. Beautiful, peaceful location with a stunning sunset on the beach (though the sand is a little gravely). Excellent service. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and there are several nice touches such as free nibbles on the beach at sunset, efficient turn-down service, and free internet/dvd rental. The pool is wonderful with a stylish poolside bar. The restaurant is also very good and reasonably priced for this type of hotel. Fantastic relaxing Holiday....... Superb Rooms. We had a garden Villa which was furnished like a 5 Star Hotel but with your own garden area and outdoor Spa and treatment area. It also had an outside bathroom with very large Spa Bath. Fantastic food and wine at reasonable prices and the staff were exceptional. Set right on the beach the Sunsets were fantastic. if you want an absolute degree of privacy, try the beachfront villa. Beautiful outdoor bathroom, generous bedroom as well as a living room. Own dip pool - all facing the beach. The beach if very quiet, no worries about passing vendors here, can suntan in your own private garden naked if you want. The common pool is a large affair. the place just has been opened, so it is eerily empty (only 3 rooms were rented during our visit). I enjoyed the time at the Ban Sabai Hotel. It is a small luxury boutique resort located at the sunset beach. The rooms are all very nice (balcony, jacuzzi and DVD). Especially the staff is doing a great job! They take care of you from the reservation till the check out! If you have a special request they do everything to realize it! Looking forward to visit this place again in the future!

My partner and I stayed at this gorgeous resort for 6 nights in September and after extensive internet searching of Koh Samui accommodation offerings, we could not have been more pleased with our final selection. The staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed here as a young couple about 6 months ago for 7 nights. How unlucky we were to find this place. The resort is on the most remote area on Koh Samui. When I told the taxi driver where I was going he had a big smile on his face, told his family he wouldn’t be home for a while and when he dropped us off informed us that tourists very rarely come to this area - how right he was.
